Rockies 8, Dodgers 4: Wilin Rosario went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs as host Colorado posted its eighth win in 10 games.

Rosario, who set the franchise single-season record for homers by a catcher in Monday's series opener, belted his 22nd shot in the third inning, a one-out solo blast that gave Colorado a 5-1 lead. The rookie had hit a run-scoring single during the Rockies' four-run first and added another in the seventh for his fifth RBI of the series.

Los Angeles center fielder Matt Kemp left the game in the first inning with a right knee contusion and was slated to undergo X-rays on his jaw after crashing into the wall while attempting to catch a deep fly hit by Josh Rutledge. Kemp remained in the game after being attended to, but pulled himself two batters later.

Rutledge legged out a triple on the play on which Kemp was injured and scored on a double by Jordan Pacheco, who raced home on Rosario's single. Andrew Brown delivered an RBI base hit two batters later and DJ LeMahieu capped the uprising with a run-scoring double.

Tyler Chatwood (4-3) allowed two runs and five hits in five innings en route to his third win in four decisions.

Dodgers starter Chris Capuano (11-10) surrendered six runs and 10 hits over six frames. The veteran left-hander, who struck out three without a walk, fell to 2-6 since the All-Star break.

Hanley Ramirez belted a solo home run for the Dodgers, who lost for the sixth time in eight contests and fell 3 1/2 games behind first-place San Francisco in the National League West.
