Rockies 5, Giants 4: Marco Scutaro led off the top of the ninth inning with a home run off Santiago Casilla to help Colorado snap a four-game losing streak.

Colorado won for only the second time in its last 11 games despite walking 10 batters after Scutaro hit his first home run in a Rockies uniform on a 1-2 pitch off Casilla (0-2).

Rex Brothers (2-2) worked out of a bases loaded jam in the eighth with three straight strikeouts, and Rafael Betancourt struck out Nate Schierholtz with two runners on in the ninth for his seventh save.

Carlos Gonzalez’s RBI single in the seventh gave the Rockies a 4-1 lead, but the Giants tied the game when Melky Cabrera doubled in two runs and scored on Angel Pagan’s two-out single in the bottom half.

Giants starter Tim Lincecum gave up four runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts while throwing a season-high 122 pitches over seven innings. San Francisco left 13 runners on base and went 2-for-17 with runners in scoring position.

Jeremy Guthrie allowed one unearned run over 5 1/3 innings for the Rockies in his first start since landing on the disabled list with a right shoulder sprain in late April.
