Diamondbacks 6, Giants 2: Trevor Cahill carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning en route to his 50th career victory as visiting Arizona beat San Francisco for the second straight night.

Chris Johnson had two hits, including a two-run double to cap the Diamondbacks' four-run seventh inning and make it 6-0. He also tripled and scored in the fourth.

Brandon Belt had a two-run single for the Giants, who lead the Los Angeles Dodgers by 4 1/2 games in the National League West.

Miguel Montero, rookie Adam Eaton, Paul Goldschmidt and John McDonald also had two hits for the Diamondbacks, while Aaron Hill, McDonald, Goldschmidt and Montero added RBIs.

Cahill (10-11), who was 0-2 with a 6.20 ERA in two starts against San Francisco this season, allowed two runs, two hits and struck out five over his 6 1/3 innings of work. He retired the first 16 batters before walking Brandon Crawford on four pitches with one out in the sixth. Marco Scutaro lined a 2-0 pitch to right field leading off the seventh for the Giants' first hit.

The Giants chased Cahill by loading the bases with one out in the seventh before Belt greeted reliever Mike Zagurski with a two-run single to right-center field. Zagurski got out of trouble when Ryan Theriot grounded into a double play.

Madison Bumgarner (14-10) lost his third straight start. He allowed four runs, seven hits, walked two and struck out five in 6 1/3 innings in falling to 0-3 against Arizona this season.

Eaton, who was 2-for-6 in his first major league game Tuesday, kept the no-hitter intact with a diving catch of Angel Pagan's liner to end the sixth inning.

The benches cleared in the eighth inning when Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval took exception to McDonald making contact with him during a force out. Order was quickly restored.
