Matt Kemp homered for the fifth consecutive game and Ted Lilly struck out nine in seven innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers sent manager Joe Torre out a winner with a 3-1 victory over the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Kemp hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Lilly (10-12) limited Arizona to one run and four hits.

Kenley Jansen struck out two in the eighth and Hong Chih-Kuo worked the ninth for his 12th save to wrap up Torre’s final victory in three seasons as Los Angeles manager. Torre has indicated his current plan is not to manage again but he hasn’t announced his retirement.

Andre Ethier singled in an insurance run in the seventh for Los Angeles.

Diamondbacks starter Rodrigo Lopez (7-16) gave up two runs and three hits in five innings.
