Robel Garcia stroked a two-out, two-strike single to center field, scoring Jason Castro from third base and providing the Houston Astros with a walk-off, 5-4 win in 10 innings over the visiting Los Angeles Angels on Friday.

Garcia followed an RBI infield single from Myles Straw and a sacrifice fly from Carlos Correa with his hit off Angels closer Raisel Iglesias (1-2) to complete the three-run frame and the second comeback of the night for the Astros. David Fletcher and Albert Pujols delivered RBI singles in the top of the 10th off Astros closer Ryan Pressly (2-0), who logged two innings.

Yordan Alvarez and Yuli Gurriel teamed to spoil a brilliant outing from Angels left-hander Andrew Heaney. Alvarez chased Heaney with an opposite-field double to left in the seventh before Gurriel greeted right-hander Aaron Slegers with a game-tying, two-run homer to left.

Heaney was outstanding. He allowed a two-out single to Alex Bregman in the first and then retired nine consecutive batters before plunking Alvarez with a fastball with two outs in the fourth. Heaney immediately found his stride, starting with a strikeout of Gurriel to end the frame.

Heaney set the Astros down in order in the fifth and sixth innings, notching five consecutive strikeouts starting with Straw to close the fifth and continuing through Bregman to open the seventh. Heaney had 92 pitches on his ledger through six innings of work. His 101st pitch changed the tide.

Heaney produced a season-high 10 strikeouts without issuing a walk. He allowed just two hits.

Astros right-hander Zack Greinke wasn't as dominant but was effective. He was elusive early, stranding two runners in scoring position in the first and second, escaping unscathed despite throwing 43 pitches. He steadied himself in the third and fourth, but the Angels struck in the fifth.

Scott Schebler and Fletcher reached to set the table for Shohei Ohtani, whose double to right scored Schebler with the first run. Jared Walsh then delivered an infield single with two outs that plated Fletcher and doubled the lead.

Greinke avoided additional strife with a strikeout of Pujols, and he started a nifty double play in the seventh to hold the line. He allowed 10 hits over seven innings but did not issue a walk.
