Chicago at Carolina 7:30 PM ET
The road has been kind to the Chicago Blackhawks of late, and the Western Conference leaders hope the trend continues Friday as they resume their three-game trek against the Carolina Hurricanes. Chicago has posted four consecutive road victories, including a 3-2 triumph in Nashville on Thursday that halted the team's three-game skid overall (0-2-1).
Nashville at St. Louis 8:00 PM ET
The Nashville Predators look to put a winless homestand behind them and post their third consecutive road victory when they visit the Central Division-rival St. Louis Blues on Friday. Nashville concluded an 0-2-1 stretch at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday with a 3-2 setback against Chicago that saw the club squander a 2-1 lead in the latter half of the third period.
Anaheim at Vancouver 10:00 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks look to extend their point streak to four games before the end of the calendar year as they visit the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night. The Ducks earned an important 3-1 victory at Calgary on Thursday to snap a three-game winless streak — two of the losses coming in overtime — as forward Jakob Silfverberg scored for the third consecutive game.
Philadelphia at San Jose 10:00 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks have eschewed their devil-may-care, high-octane offense in favor of coach Peter DeBoer's defense-first mentality in a bid to return to the Stanley Cup final for the second time in as many seasons. The Pacific Division-leading Sharks look to post their eighth win in nine outings overall and 19th in their last 20 contests with the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday when the teams met at SAP Center.
