Preview Roundups
November 16, 2015
Arizona at NY Islanders 7:00 PM ET
The New York Islanders return home from a successful trip to California to host the Arizona Coyotes on Monday. New York won two of three in the Golden State, concluding the trek with a 4-1 triumph in Anaheim on Friday.
Anaheim at Carolina 7:00 PM ET
A pair of teams struggling to score goals and riding three-game losing streaks (0-1-2) clash Monday when the Carolina Hurricanes host the Anaheim Ducks, who hope a pair of call-ups from the American Hockey League can light a fire under their scuffling offense. Anaheim brought up left wing Nick Ritchie, the 10th overall pick in the 2014 draft, and Michael Sgarbossa from San Diego, where Ritchie scored nine goals in 12 games.
Vancouver at Montreal 7:30 PM ET
The Vancouver Canucks look to turn things around on their season-high seven-game road trip when they visit the Montreal Canadiens on Monday. Vancouver has struggled over the first five games of the trek, winning once (1-3-1) while being held to two goals in three of the contests.
Detroit at Ottawa 7:30 PM ET
The Detroit Red Wings attempt to rejuvenate their struggling offense when they visit the Ottawa Senators on Monday in the third meeting between the Atlantic Division rivals this season. Detroit has managed just five goals while losing three of its last four contests and a total of nine in six contests this month despite owning a very skilled lineup.
Tampa Bay at Florida 7:30 PM ET
The Florida Panthers look to sweep a home-and-home series with their Sunshine State rivals when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday. The Panthers begin a five-game homestand after defenseman Aaron Ekblad’s power-play goal in the final minute of regulation tied Saturday's contest before they won in a shootout at Tampa Bay.
Winnipeg at St. Louis 8:00 PM ET
The Winnipeg Jets play their 12th road game of the young season Monday at the St. Louis Blues, the final stop on a four-game swing through the Central Division that has completely wiped away the Jets’ solid start. Winnipeg is 0-3-0 on the road trip and has watched its defense get throttled for 18 goals in losses at Minnesota, Dallas and Nashville.
