The Toronto Maple Leafs aim to record their first road victory of the season when the visit the Original Six-rival Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. Toronto has played three of its first four games of 2016-17 away from home but have yet to earn two points, dropping 5-4 overtime decisions in both Ottawa and Winnipeg while suffering a 3-2 defeat at Minnesota on Thursday.
Montreal at Boston 7:00 PM ET
With Carey Price back in the crease, the Montreal Canadiens look to record their third consecutive victory when they visit the Original Six-rival Boston Bruins on Saturday. Price missed Montreal's first three games with the flu before making his season debut against Arizona on Thursday, turning aside 27 shots in his first regular-season start since Nov. 25.
Tampa Bay at Ottawa 7:00 PM ET
Guy Boucher coached the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Eastern Conference finals in 2011 and faces his former team for the first time when the Ottawa Senators host their Atlantic Division rivals Saturday. Boucher’s Senators posted 15 goals while winning their first three home games and the Lightning begin a six-game road trip after recording six points in four contests at Amalie Arena to open the campaign.
San Jose at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks look to shake off a rough third period in their last contest and finish a five-game road trip with a winning record when they visit the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. The Sharks were in control with a two-goal lead going into the final 20 minutes against injury-depleted Pittsburgh on Thursday before walking away with a dispiriting 3-2 loss.
Minnesota at New Jersey 7:00 PM ET
The New Jersey Devils could use an offensive jolt, and honoring the winningest goaltender in league history certainly should energize the fan base. Prior to Saturday's game against the visiting Minnesota Wild, New Jersey will hold a ceremony outside the Prudential Center to dedicate a statue of Martin Brodeur, who led the franchise to three Stanley Cup championships.
Pittsburgh at Nashville 8:00 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Penguins are dealing with plenty of adversity due to injuries in the early going, but it has yet to show in their record as they prepare to visit the Nashville Predators on Saturday. The Penguins have been without captain Sidney Crosby (concussion) throughout, top defenseman Kris Letang (upper body) is day-to-day and they finished Thursday’s 3-2 comeback victory over San Jose with only four healthy blue-liners.
Columbus at Dallas 8:00 PM ET
The Columbus Blue Jackets attempt to make it two wins in as many nights as they take to the road for the first time this season to face the Dallas Stars on Saturday in the opener of their four-game trek. Columbus notched its initial victory of 2016-17 on Friday, edging Chicago to conclude a season-opening three-game homestand that began with losses to Boston and San Jose.
St. Louis at Calgary 10:00 PM ET
Goaltending was a nightmare last season for the Calgary Flames, which hoped to solidify the problem by acquiring Brian Elliott from the St. Louis Blues. The transition has turned out to be rocky for Calgary and Elliott, who is winless in three starts as the Blues pay a visit to Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday.
