Boston at Detroit 8:00 PM ET
The Boston Bruins have mustered just four goals this season and saw their three-game skid begin with a 2-1 road setback to the Detroit Red Wings last week. The Bruins look to alter their fortunes when they visit their Original Six rival for the second time in six days on Wednesday. Boston suffered its third consecutive 2-1 loss on Monday - albeit in heartbreaking fashion - as Colorado's Daniel Briere scored his 300th career goal with four-tenths of a second remaining in the third period.
Calgary at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
The Chicago Blackhawks have plenty of time to rest during a 10-game October schedule and should be full of energy for several reasons when the Calgary Flames pay them a visit on Wednesday. The Blackhawks have had three days off since trouncing Buffalo 6-2 and will be ready for Calgary, which beat them twice and lost by a goal in three meetings last season. The Flames have won two of the first three contests on their six-game road trip, including a 3-2 shootout victory over Nashville on Tuesday.
Edmonton at Arizona 10:30 PM ET
The Edmonton Oilers attempt to make a quick recovery from a thorough beating when they visit the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday. Edmonton fell to 0-1-1 on its three-game road trip on Tuesday as it suffered a 6-1 defeat against the reigning Stanley Cup-champion Los Angeles Kings. The winless Oilers, who have allowed 15 goals over their first three contests, avoided being shut out when Matt Hendricks scored with 20.9 seconds remaining in the third period.
