After going silent following the Toronto Maple Leafs' sixth consecutive loss, captain Dion Phaneuf confidently boasted that his team would get it together. The Maple Leafs attempt to stop their slide when they visit the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday. "I'm not going to stand here and say we've played well, we haven't," Phaneuf told TSN on Thursday. "I know right now it seems we're at a low point, but we'll come through it."
Pittsburgh at Columbus 7:00 PM ET
The Columbus Blue Jackets look to gain an advantage in the race for an Eastern Conference wild-card spot on Friday when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins, who are trying to clinch a playoff berth for the eighth consecutive season. Columbus is locked in a four-way tie but has a game in hand, while Pittsburgh is stuck at 97 points after dropping its last three contests.

The Chicago Blackhawks hold the distinction of being the NHL's highest-scoring team, but they sure haven't looked the part of late. The Dallas Stars attempt to remain in the thick of the playoff race when they host the Nashville Predators on Friday. Dallas sits five points behind Phoenix for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference with two games in hand. The Stars halted a four-game slide (0-3-1) with a pair of home victories before dropping a 4-2 decision at Chicago on Tuesday.

A five-game winning streak has helped the New York Rangers ascend to second place in the Metropolitan Division.The Rangers look to continue their push toward the playoffs on Friday, when they begin a four-game road trip against the Calgary Flames. New York completed a brief two-game homestand with a 4-3 victory over Phoenix on Monday and a 3-1 triumph versus Philadelphia two days later.
Anaheim at Edmonton 9:30 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks look to reclaim their spot atop the Pacific Division when they visit the Edmonton Oilers on Friday. Anaheim recently slipped out of first place after residing there for most of the season but trails San Jose by only two points with three games in hand. The Ducks began their three-game road trip with a 3-2 triumph at Calgary on Wednesday as Mathieu Perreault and Andrew Cogliano scored in the third period to erase a deficit.
