Toronto at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The league-leading Washington Capitals continue their quest for the second Presidents' Trophy in franchise history when they face off against the NHL-worst Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday in the middle contest of their three-game homestand. Washington, which finished first overall in 2009-10, is the only team with at least 90 points and is four away from the century mark after rallying from a two-goal deficit to post a 3-2 triumph over Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
Chicago at Detroit 8:00 PM ET
The surging Detroit Red Wings look to continue their good fortune against the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday when the Original Six rivals meet at Joe Louis Arena in the first of two encounters in a five-day span. Tomas Tatar had an assist as Detroit extended its winning streak to three games with a 3-2 overtime triumph over Dallas on Monday and also tallied in both victories over Chicago last season.
Montreal at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks are the hottest team in the NHL but that didn't prevent them from making a few moves at the trade deadline to bolster their depth for the stretch run. Winners of eight consecutive games, the surging Ducks can pull even in points with Los Angeles atop the Pacific Division with a victory against the visiting Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night.
