Preview Roundups
December 15, 2015
Georgia Southern at Duke 7:00 PM ET
Duke's offense is among the best in the nation with only one output below 79 points all season - and that was against mighty Kentucky. The sixth-ranked Blue Devils hope for another strong output Tuesday versus visiting Georgia Southern.
Norfolk State at Cincinnati 7:00 PM ET
Cincinnati won its first seven games but has dropped two of the last three as the start of conference play nears. The Bearcats attempt to bounce back from a loss to rival Xavier when they host Norfolk State on Tuesday.
NC-Greensboro at Wake Forest 7:00 PM ET
Wake Forest has completed a challenging - and largely successful - run of games against power conference opponents, and another difficult portion of the slate is on the horizon. For now, the Demon Deacons can look forward to a potentially softer stretch of the schedule before it ramps back up when they host UNCG on Tuesday.
Louisiana Tech at Mississippi 7:00 PM ET
Ole Miss tries for its fifth straight victory while Andy Kennedy - the winningest coach in school history - vies for his 200th with the Rebels when they host Louisiana Tech on Tuesday. Ole Miss senior guard Stefan Moody is averaging 25 points during the winning streak, which includes a 75-64 victory at Southeast Missouri State on Saturday in which he scored 28, and was 10th in the nation at 23.6 points per game entering Monday.
Presbyterian at Clemson 7:00 PM ET
Clemson looks to regain some confidence just 48 hours after a frustrating one-point home loss when it hosts in-state rival Presbyterian on Tuesday night. The Tigers turned the ball over for an easy basket in the final minute and missed two shots late to drop a 51-50 decision to Alabama on Sunday – their third defeat in six games after a 3-0 start.
Northern Kentucky at Michigan 7:00 PM ET
Michigan looks to stay on the winning track when it hosts Northern Kentucky for the first time on Tuesday. The Wolverines were left to lick their wounds after a humbling 82-58 loss to unbeaten SMU on Dec. 8, but recovered with an 80-33 triumph over winless Delaware State to notch their second victory by more than 46 points this season.
Drexel at South Carolina 7:00 PM ET

After cracking the Top 25 for the first time since 2004, South Carolina aims to continue its best start in decades when the Gamecocks host Drexel on Tuesday. Frank Martin’s 25th-ranked Gamecocks can improve to 9-0 for the first time since the 1970-71 campaign with a victory over the Dragons.

Monmouth-NJ at Georgetown 7:30 PM ET
Georgetown is 5-0 during a seven-game homestand and looks to pick up another victory when it hosts Monmouth on Tuesday. The Hoyas needed the string of victories after a 1-3 start and are coming off an 87-82 decision over UNC-Wilmington on Saturday.
Southern at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
Memphis puts its four-game winning streak on the line Tuesday when it hosts Southern in a game of contrasting styles. The Tigers are rolling despite ranking as one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the nation while the Jaguars have ridden a hot hand from behind the arc to a 7-2 start.
Appalachian St. at Texas 8:00 PM ET

Texas showed over the weekend it has plenty of power behind leading scorers Isaiah Taylor and Cameron Ridley. The Longhorns will try to win their fifth straight when they host Appalachian State on Tuesday.

Mississippi Valley State at Northwestern 8:00 PM ET
On paper, everything appears to stack in Northwestern's favor when it hosts Mississippi Valley State Tuesday night. The Wildcats are 6-0 at home whereas the Delta Devils are winless in 11 starts and 0-10 in true road games.
Longwood at Oklahoma St. 9:00 PM ET
Oklahoma State, which rallied to defeat Minnesota, 62-60, in a neutral court game in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Saturday, will try to snap a rare two-game non-conference home losing streak when its hosts Longwood on Tuesday night. Before the hard-fought win at the Sanford Pentagon, the Cowboys dropped consecutive home contests to Tulsa (66-56) and Missouri State (64-63), the first time since the 1985-86 season the Cowboys lost back-to-back non-conference home games.
Louisiana-Lafayette at UCLA 9:00 PM ET
Louisiana may seem like a break in the non-conference schedule for UCLA, but the Bruins can't afford to let their guard down against the visiting Ragin' Cajuns on Tuesday night, not when they seem on the verge of cracking the top 25 in the coaches' poll. UCLA is coming off an impressive road win Saturday night against then-No. 17 Gonzaga, which came nine days after the Bruins beat then-No. 1 Kentucky at home, and has a date Saturday with No. 11 North Carolina at Pauley Pavilion.
Mercer at Auburn 9:00 PM ET

Coming off an 88-81 overtime loss to Middle Tennessee, Auburn coach Bruce Pearl is looking for a more complete team effort. The Tigers will get their first opportunity Tuesday when they host formidable Mercer at Auburn Arena.

VCU at Georgia Tech 9:00 PM ET
VCU has been in position to earn several signature victories so far this season, but head coach Will Wade laments the missed opportunities against Power 5 conference squads. The Rams try again Tuesday when VCU plays at Georgia Tech, the Rams’ second consecutive game in Atlanta after falling to Florida State in a neutral-site contest Dec. 6.
Texas A&M CC at Wisconsin 9:00 PM ET
Wisconsin was almost destined to go through a rebuilding phase after losing two NBA first-round picks and three other key players, but few expected the Badgers to exceed the loss total of last year’s national runner-up team before it began Big Ten play. Coming off a pair of heartbreaking setbacks against in-state rivals, Wisconsin hopes to avoid a third straight non-conference home defeat on Tuesday when it hosts surging Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
DePaul at Stanford 10:00 PM ET
Stanford, which has been looking for a consistent scoring threat since losing three starters to graduation last season, might finally have its answer. Senior forward Rosco Allen is averaging 21 points over his last two games and taking on a greater offensive role for the Cardinal, who aim for their third straight win Tuesday against visiting DePaul.
UC Irvine at Oregon 11:00 PM ET
The status of standout freshman guard Tyler Dorsey remains in doubt and senior forward Dwayne Benjamin is also ailing as Oregon prepares to host UC Irvine on Tuesday. Dorsey injured his left knee on Dec. 4 in a loss to UNLV and Benjamin injured his knee in Saturday's 74-72 loss at Boise State.
