Preview Roundups
February 17, 2016
Dayton at St. Joseph's 6:00 PM ET
Thirteenth-ranked Dayton has no time to celebrate its highest spot in a poll since it was No. 6 in December 1967 as it prepares to visit Saint Joseph's on Wednesday in a key Atlantic 10 Conference game. The first-place Flyers have reeled off nine straight victories since losing in their last trip to Philadelphia - 61-57 to La Salle on Jan. 9 - and have dropped seven straight on the road to the third-place Hawks dating to Jan. 29, 2000.
Iowa at Penn St. 6:30 PM ET
Sixth-ranked Iowa looks to continue its march towards its first Big Ten title since 1979 when it hits the road to face Penn State on Wednesday. The Hawkeyes bounced back from an 85-78 loss to No. 21 Indiana by slipping past struggling Minnesota 75-71 to move one game ahead of the Hoosiers and Maryland at the top of the conference standings.
Villanova at Temple 7:00 PM ET
So far, so good for Villanova in its stint as the nation's No. 1 ranked team. With a pair of double-digit victories since moving to the top of the Coaches' Poll for the first time ever, the Wildcats hope to maintain their momentum Wednesday when they visit Temple in a Big 5 contest.
Auburn at Arkansas 7:00 PM ET

It’s been a season of inconsistency, but Arkansas has a chance to make a move into the upper half of the SEC during an upcoming three-game homestand. And that stretch begins Wednesday with a visit from a struggling and depleted Auburn team, which brings a seven-game losing streak to Fayetteville.

Central Florida at Memphis 7:00 PM ET
Memphis looks to pull itself out of a slump and start a run for postseason play when it hosts UCF in an American Athletic Conference contest Wednesday. The Tigers have dropped four of their last five, including an overtime loss to Tulane in their last outing, while the Knights are hoping to snap a three-game losing skid.
Syracuse at Louisville 7:00 PM ET
Rick Pitino was an assistant coach for two seasons on Jim Boeheim's first staff from 1976-78, making it somewhat ironic that Louisville's Hall of Fame coach is dealing with a postseason ban one year after Syracuse's Hall of Fame coach experienced the same fate. The Cardinals look to avoid matching their longest losing streak since a three-game skid from Jan. 19-26, 2013, on Wednesday when they host the surging Orange.
Boston College at Clemson 7:00 PM ET
Boston College is running out of chances to earn its first ACC win. The Eagles held second-half leads against North Carolina and Syracuse in the last two games only to fall short and will hit the road to try to earn that elusive victory at Clemson on Wednesday.
Providence at Xavier 7:00 PM ET
After rediscovering its high-powered offense, Xavier hopes to keep the heat on first place in the Big East when it hosts Providence on Wednesday. The seventh-ranked Musketeers enter this one two games behind top-ranked Villanova in the conference race and they host the Wildcats next week.
DePaul at St. John's 8:00 PM ET
DePaul and St. John's play twice in a nine-day span. The Red Storm will host the first game Wednesday before making the return trip to Allstate Arena on Feb. 25 to play the second game against the Blue Demons.
Nebraska at Indiana 8:30 PM ET

Indiana's NCAA Tournament resume received a huge boost last week with a quality win over Iowa, but coupled with a 20-point loss to Michigan State on Sunday, the Hoosiers know they have some work to do to secure a mid-level seed. Their first challenge will be a Nebraska squad that travels to Bloomington after a resounding 70-54 win over Penn State on Saturday.

Alabama at Louisiana State 9:00 PM ET
LSU is looking to take another step toward winning the SEC regular-season crown and runs into a suddenly hot Alabama squad in Wednesday's home encounter. The Tigers have won five of their past seven games and are tied for first with Kentucky in the conference race while the Crimson Tide have ripped off four consecutive victories, including their first win at Florida since 1995.
Oklahoma at Texas Tech 9:00 PM ET
Oklahoma guard Buddy Hield is scoring points in bushels but he is aiming to emerge from a two-game shooting slump when the No. 3 Sooners visit Texas Tech in Big 12 play on Wednesday. Hield is just 12-of-33 from the field over the past two games - dropping his season shooting to 51 percent - but averaged 25.5 points in the contests and has scored 23 or more points in five of the past six games.
Virginia Tech at Miami-Florida 9:00 PM ET
No. 10 Miami (Fla.), which is coming off a pair of tense two-point victories, has moved into second place in the ACC and looks to make it five wins in a row Wednesday as it hosts Virginia Tech. Coach Jim Larranaga will try to keep his team from looking past the slumping Hokies with a visit to conference-leading North Carolina coming up on Saturday.
Duke at North Carolina 9:00 PM ET
Duke’s latest surge has it back in the Top 25 and pointed up in the ACC with six games left in the regular season. The Blue Devils will get a chance to prove their four-game winning streak is for real when they visit North Carolina on Wednesday for the latest chapter in the historic rivalry.
Georgia Tech at Florida St. 9:00 PM ET

Florida State’s postseason prospects have taken a hit with consecutive losses, and it can’t afford a third straight defeat when it hosts Georgia Tech for an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets have lost seven of nine since stunning then-No. 4 Virginia and would like to play spoiler again by knocking off the Seminoles.

Seton Hall at Georgetown 9:00 PM ET
Eleven days after posting a home victory against Georgetown, Seton Hall visits the Hoyas on Wednesday in an attempt to start another winning streak. The Pirates, who are currently projected as an 11th seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament by noted ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi, have had a week to regroup after having their longest Big East Conference winning streak in four years snapped last Wednesday against Butler.
Arizona State at Arizona 9:00 PM ET
Arizona has won five in a row to move into a tie for the Pac-12 Conference lead and the No. 12 Wildcats can take sole possession of first with another win Wednesday night against visiting Arizona State. The winning streak pulled Arizona even with No. 17 Oregon, which has lost two straight and doesn't play again until Saturday, but the Ducks still own the tiebreaker based on their 83-75 win against the Wildcats in their only scheduled meeting of the regular season.
Houston at Tulane 9:30 PM ET
Houston and host Tulane are both riding momentum as they meet in American Athletic Conference action on Wednesday. The Cougars have won five of six to move within two games of league-leading Temple.
Colorado at Southern California 11:00 PM ET
USC dropped out of the national rankings this week after getting swept on its Arizona road trip last week. And that might not be such a bad thing for the Trojans, who return home to host rejuvenated Colorado in Pac-12 Conference play on Wednesday night.
