Auburn at Louisiana State 7:00 PM ET
LSU looks to rebound from a disappointing loss and remain on track for an NCAA Tournament bid when it begins a three-game homestand against struggling Auburn on Thursday. LSU stubbed its toe at Mississippi State 73-67 on Saturday while shooting 37.7 percent from the field, but is 10-1 at home and faces an Auburn squad that has lost a season-high four straight. It will be a battle of the top three rebounders in the SEC as LSU’s Jordan Mickey and Jarell Martin meet Cinmeon Bowers of Auburn.
Tulsa at Houston 7:00 PM ET
Houston tries to continue its momentum when its hosts American Athletic Conference-leading Tulsa on Thursday. The Cougars have won back-to-back games to break an eight-game losing skid and will try to snap the Hurricane's 11-game win streak. Tulsa's 78-71 overtime victory over USF on Saturday featured someone other than guards Shaquille Harrison and James Woodard as the team's leading scorer for the first time since late November.
Iowa at Michigan 7:00 PM ET
Two squads trying to bolster their NCAA tournament resumes hit the hardwood on Thursday when Iowa hosts Michigan in Big Ten play. The Wolverines have lost two of their last three games and took a recent blow when leading scorer Caris LeVert suffered a season-ending foot injury. The Hawkeyes appeared to have things headed in the right direction when they won five of six games but limp into this contest with three consecutive losses.
Cincinnati at Southern Methodist 9:00 PM ET
SMU has won eight straight games to work its way back into the Top 25 and can get some revenge for its only American Athletic Conference setback when it hosts Cincinnati on Thursday. The 23rd-ranked Mustangs had their worst offensive showing of the season in a 56-50 loss at the Bearcats on Jan. 3 but are working their way up the standings on the defensive end. Cincinnati is trying to bounce back from a 50-46 loss at East Carolina.
UCLA at Stanford 9:00 PM ET
Stanford blew a double-digit lead against UCLA earlier this season and looks to avenge that double-overtime loss on Thursday when it hosts the Bruins. UCLA trailed by 14 points with 9:57 left in regulation during the Jan. 8 contest and eventually emerged victorious as freshman standout Kevon Looney contributed season highs of 27 points and 19 rebounds. Stanford star Chasson Randle tied his career best of seven 3-pointers and scored 32 points – one off his career high – in a losing cause.
Washington St. at Oregon St. 10:00 PM ET
Oregon State has a strong enough defense to finish in the Pac-12's upper echelon, but it won't get the opportunity if it can't score. The Beavers, though, have a golden opportunity for their offense to gain confidence when they host Washington State on Thursday as the Cougars are last in the Pac-12 in points allowed at 79.4 per conference game.
Southern California at California 11:00 PM ET
USC coach Andy Enfield is 3-24 in conference games over the last two years, but one of those rare victories came last month against California. The Trojans, who have lost six straight following the 71-57 victory Jan. 7, look to complete a regular-season sweep of the Golden Bears when the teams meet Thursday in Berkeley. Enfield’s squad is coming off a dismal showing against Utah on Saturday, when the Trojans were held to their fewest points in nearly three years in a 67-39 loss.
Gonzaga at Santa Clara 11:00 PM ET
Gonzaga, which moved up to No. 2 in the national rankings this week, begins a two-game West Coast Conference road trip to the Bay Area on Thursday when it faces Santa Clara. The ranking is the highest for a WCC team since Gonzaga achieved a No. 1 national rating during the 2012-13 season when the Bulldogs were the overall No. 1 national seed for the 2013 NCAA Tournament. That squad went on to lose to Wichita State in the round of 32 and finished with an overall record of 32-3.
