Preview Roundups
January 06, 2019
Xavier at Marquette 12:00 PM ET
Marquette will have its perfect 10-0 home record on the line when the No. 18 Golden Eagles host Xavier Sunday afternoon. Marquette saw its eight-game win streak end in Tuesday's 89-69 defeat to St. John’s in the Golden Eagles’ Big East opener.
Illinois at Northwestern 1:00 PM ET
Illinois and Northwestern will be searching for their first Big Ten win when the in-state opponents meet Sunday at refurbished Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Ill. The Fighting Illini played a competitive game in a 73-65 loss on Thursday night to Indiana, but Northwestern began the new year by getting blown out 81-55 at Michigan State.
Seton Hall at DePaul 1:00 PM ET
With a pair of dramatic second-half rallies, Seton Hall has made a big statement early in the Big East schedule. The streaking Pirates will try to stretch their winning streak to eight straight and maintain their early lead in the conference when they visit DePaul on Sunday.
Temple at Wichita St. 4:00 PM ET
Conference play got off to a sour start for Temple and Wichita State, who will meet up Sunday on the Shockers' court. The Owls suffered a five-point loss at Central Florida in their first American Athletic Conference affair, while the Shockers fell by 11 at Memphis in their league opener.
Indiana at Michigan 4:30 PM ET
Michigan has been at its best against the best this season, defeating all three of its ranked opponents by at least 17 points. The fourth-ranked Wolverines wrap up a six-game homestand with their stiffest test in over a month and hope to improve to 7-1 over their last eight home contests against Top 25 foes Sunday when they welcome No. 22 Indiana into Crisler Center.
Nebraska at Iowa 5:30 PM ET
Iowa's high-flying offense was good enough to power Fran McCaffery's squad to an undefeated record in non-conference play, but the same defense that ranked last in the Big Ten in scoring defense a season ago has reared its ugly head again during conference action in 2018-19. Hoping to avoid a second straight 0-4 start in league play, the 20th-ranked Hawkeyes attempt to move to 9-1 at home Sunday when they host No. 23 Nebraska.
Memphis at Houston 6:00 PM ET
No. 17 Houston will present a tough test for high-scoring Memphis when the Tigers visit for an American Athletic Conference game Sunday. The undefeated Cougars not only have a 27-game home win streak but also one of the country's top defenses.
Miami-Florida at Louisville 6:00 PM ET
It hasn't been a very happy new year for Miami as it gets ready to travel to Louisville on Sunday for the Cardinals' first ACC matchup of the year. On Thursday, the Hurricanes not only came up short in their ACC opener against North Carolina State 87-82, but they also found out that star forward Dewan Hernandez lost his appeal with the NCAA and was declared ineligible for the season.
Wisconsin at Penn St. 7:30 PM ET
Penn State's slow start in Big Ten play may have got the best of coach Patrick Chambers, who was suspended one game for pushing freshman guard Myles Dread in the chest during a huddle midway through the first half of the Nittany Lions' latest loss at No. 4 Michigan. Penn State will try and regroup without its leader when it hosts No. 23 Wisconsin on Sunday.
Stanford at Southern California 8:00 PM ET

Despite battling injuries and inconsistency all season, USC remains a dangerous team in the wide-open Pac-12 race. The Trojans aim for their fourth straight win Sunday against visiting Stanford, which began conference play with Thursday’s 92-70 loss to UCLA.
