Preview Roundups
December 11, 2016
Philadelphia at Detroit 6:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers snapped a 23-game road losing streak at New Orleans on Thursday by locking down on the defensive end and getting contributions on the offensive end from people other than center Joel Embiid. The 76ers will try to follow that formula to another triumph when they visit the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
Boston at Oklahoma City 7:00 PM ET
Russell Westbrook needs one more triple-double to reach eight in a row and pass Michael Jordan, but the Oklahoma City Thunder would prefer a return to the win column. Westbrook will try to drag the Thunder to their seventh win in eight games when they host the Boston Celtics on Sunday.
Golden State at Minnesota 7:00 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors will attempt to move quickly past a rare sloppy performance when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. The Warriors committed a season-high 23 turnovers in Saturday's somewhat stunning 110-89 setback at Memphis, as sharpshooters Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson each went 4-of-14 from the field.
New Orleans at Phoenix 8:30 PM ET
Star forward Anthony Davis will be back in the lineup for the struggling New Orleans Pelicans when they wrap up a back-to-back at the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. Davis was given a night of rest Saturday at the Los Angeles Clippers and his shorthanded teammates offered little resistance in a 133-105 loss.
New York at L.A. Lakers 9:30 PM ET
The feel-good story of the young Los Angeles Lakers through the first month of the season is beginning to turn sour as the losses mount. The Lakers will try to ride veteran Lou Williams and end a five-game slide when they host Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks on Sunday.
