Preview Roundups
December 03, 2016
Brooklyn at Milwaukee 5:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks spent Thursday night rolling over head coach Jason Kidd's former team on the road en route to their third straight impressive victory. The Bucks will try to make it four in a row when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday to complete the home-and-home set.
Minnesota at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Charlotte Hornets have a great opportunity to finish a three-game homestand on a positive note when they host the reeling Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. The Hornets have split the first two games of the stay, first falling to Detroit before picking up a 97-87 win over Dallas on Thursday.
Atlanta at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors are scoring points in bunches with one of the NBA’s top offenses and look to extend their winning streak to six games when they host the struggling Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. The Raptors had no problem downing the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, rolling to a 113-80 triumph that followed efforts of 120 points against Memphis on Wednesday and 122 versus Philadelphia two days earlier.
Boston at Philadelphia 7:30 PM ET
The Boston Celtics look to extend their road winning streak to five games when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday to start a stretch in which they play nine of 12 contests away from home. The Celtics have won six of nine overall after outlasting Sacramento 97-92 on Friday, with Al Horford recording a season-high 26 points to go along with eight rebounds and six blocks.
L.A. Lakers at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
A banged-up Memphis Grizzlies squad will try to patch together another victory with a makeshift lineup when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. Due to injuries to several key players and a personal leave for forward Zach Randolph, the Grizzlies have been able to dress just nine players in each of their last two games, including Thursday's 95-94 win over Orlando.
Chicago at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Chicago Bulls ended November with one of their worst losses of the season but opened December with perhaps their best victory. They will try to build off the latter when they visit the struggling Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.
Denver at Utah 9:00 PM ET
The Utah Jazz must fight injuries again in their quest to end a four-year playoff drought as they prepare to host the Northwest Division-rival Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. Forward Derrick Favors (knee) is out indefinitely while point guard George Hill (toe) and shooting guard Rodney Hood (hamstring) are questionable after missing Utah’s 111-110 loss to Miami on Thursday.
Miami at Portland 10:00 PM ET
The Portland Trail Blazers need to outscore teams to win games, and top scorer Damian Lillard is trying to shoot his team into a winning homestand. Lillard will try to score 27 or more points for the fifth straight game when the Trail Blazers close out a four-game homestand by hosting the Miami Heat on Saturday.
Phoenix at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
The Phoenix Suns rank near the bottom of the NBA in scoring defense with an average of 111.9 points allowed and are about to take on the highest-scoring offense in the league. The Suns will try to find some answers for Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
