Preview Roundups
November 30, 2016
Sacramento at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
Playing on the road without Joel Embiid was too tall a task for the Philadelphia 76ers, but a return home with their star center available makes them a different team. The 76ers will try to snap a four-game slide when Embiid goes up against DeMarcus Cousins and the visiting Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
Detroit at Boston 7:30 PM ET
The Boston Celtics will have center Al Horford back in the lineup Wednesday night when they host the Detroit Pistons. Horford, who scored on a follow shot with 1.3 seconds left to lift the Celtics over the Pistons in their first meeting Nov. 19, missed Monday's 112-104 win in Miami to be with his wife for the birth of their second child.
Memphis at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Memphis Grizzlies signed point guard Mike Conley to the largest deal in NBA history in the offseason, and he responded with his best start while leading the team in scoring (19.2 points) and assists (5.7). The Grizzlies will begin life without Conley, who suffered a transverse process fracture in his back in Monday's loss to the Charlotte Hornets, when they host the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
L.A. Lakers at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
Following their longest road trip of the season and a much-needed four-day break, the Chicago Bulls get back at it Wednesday night when they host the Los Angeles Lakers. The Bulls finished a six-game voyage at 4-2 after a 105-89 win in Philadelphia on Friday and now get to play nine of the next 12 at the United Center, where they are 4-1.
Washington at Oklahoma City 8:00 PM ET
Recording triple-doubles are becoming routine for Russell Westbrook and he looks to register his fourth in a row when the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. Westbrook leads the NBA with eight triple-doubles this season and has 45 in his standout career.
New York at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
The New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves were both supposed to take steps forward this season and challenge for playoff spots, and both are battling inconsistency a month into the campaign. The Timberwolves will try to avoid a sixth loss in seven games when they host the Knicks on Wednesday.
San Antonio at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs seem to prefer playing on the road more than hanging out at home this season and look to remain unbeaten on enemy floors when they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. The Spurs are an NBA-best 10-0 on the road this season as all four of their defeats have come at home.
Miami at Denver 9:00 PM ET
The Miami Heat no longer have the talent of their recent title-chasing era and own one of the worst records in the NBA entering Wednesday's game against the host Denver Nuggets. Miami lost eight of 10 to start the season and is in another rough stretch with losses in four of the past five games.
Atlanta at Phoenix 9:00 PM ET
The desert is where losing streaks go to die lately, and the Atlanta Hawks are hoping a visit to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday can nip a three-game slide. The Suns are losers of four of the last five and were kind enough to help the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets snap out of skids in the last two home games.
Indiana at Portland 10:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers attempt to win their third consecutive game without All-Star forward Paul George when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. Making the task even tougher for the Pacers is that they lost each of their last seven visits to Portland.
