Preview Roundups
November 25, 2019
Brooklyn at Cleveland 7:00 PM ET
The Cleveland Cavaliers showed some life with an impressive victory in the middle of a difficult stretch and look to win back-to-back games for the second time this season when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night. The Cavaliers, who are in the midst of eight contests in 13 days, snapped a six-game losing streak Saturday with a 110-104 win against Portland at home.
Orlando at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The Orlando Magic came close last time out, but are still seeking their first win on the road before their seventh attempt Monday night when they visit the struggling Detroit Pistons. The Magic, who are 6-3 at home, gave up a 3-pointer and committed a turnover in the final nine seconds after tying the game Saturday and fell 111-106 at Indiana for their second straight loss to start a four-game trip.
Memphis at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers have received some great production from Aaron Holiday while he fills in for some of their injured guards, but they'll be happy to welcome back Malcolm Brogdgon on Monday against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies. Holiday has made eight straight starts, five for shooting guard Jeremy Lamb and then three in place of Brogdon.
Minnesota at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The NBA season is only a month old, but the Minnesota Timberwolves already have endured significant injuries that sidelined key members of the roster entering Monday’s visit to the Atlanta Hawks. Minnesota dropped four of its past five after starting the season 7-4, falling 100-98 at home Saturday to Phoenix while playing without five of its top 10 scorers.
Sacramento at Boston 7:30 PM ET
The Boston Celtics limped home from a difficult five-game road trip with an injured leader and their first losing streak of the season. They'll likely be without star point guard Kemba Walker when they host the Sacramento Kings on Monday night.
Charlotte at Miami 7:30 PM ET
The Miami Heat saw a five-game winning streak end with a thud Saturday in Philadelphia, and they'll try to get back to basics at home against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday. The Heat fell behind by 15 points after one quarter against the 76ers and could not come up with any sort of rally while making a season low-tying six 3-pointers.
Philadelphia at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers showed just how dominant they can be on the defensive end in Saturday's 113-86 drubbing of the Miami Heat and are cruising along with wins in each of the last four games. The 76ers will get a chance to knock off another top team from the Eastern Conference when they visit the Toronto Raptors on Monday.
Portland at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
Whatever problems Zach LaVine has with coach Jim Boylen, he took out his frustrations on the court Saturday. LaVine will try to lead the Chicago Bulls to a second consecutive win when they host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
Utah at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks will try to record their first eight-game winning streak in 17 seasons when they host the Utah Jazz on Monday. Behind another big effort by superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who recorded his 16th straight double-double, the Bucks rolled to a 104-90 win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
L.A. Lakers at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs just snapped their eight-game slide with a win at the New York Knicks on Saturday and will play nine of the next 11 games at home - including a game in Mexico on Dec. 14 - as they try to get things right. The Spurs won't have it easy in that regard when they welcome the NBA-best Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.
Oklahoma City at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
The Oklahoma City Thunder are losers of three straight but each of the three were tight losses to Western Conference contenders. The Thunder will try to snap the slide when they visit a team on the other end of the standings in the depleted Golden State Warriors on Monday.
