Preview Roundups
November 21, 2016
Miami at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers went three years between wins in October or November but are on a roll of late. The 76ers, who snapped a 44-game losing streak in October/November with an overtime triumph over the Indiana Pacers at home on Nov. 11, will try to earn their fourth straight home win when they host the Miami Heat on Monday.
Phoenix at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The Washington Wizards and the Phoenix Suns each struggle on the defensive end and are finding it difficult to consistently end up in the win column. The teams will try to put together better efforts on that end when the Suns visit the Wizards on Monday.
Memphis at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Memphis Grizzlies are rediscovering their identity on the defensive end, which is leading them back into the win column. The Grizzlies will try to hold a third straight opponent under 75 points when they visit the Charlotte Hornets on Monday.
Golden State at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors look to extend their winning streak to eight and finish a perfect four-game road trip when they visit the short-handed Indiana Pacers on Monday. The Warriors are averaging 120.7 points over the last seven contests as Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson each have shot better than 50 percent from the floor during the streak and combined for almost 80 points per game.
Houston at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
James Harden's phenomenal early run hits the road Monday night when he leads his Houston Rockets into a matchup with the struggling Detroit Pistons. Harden averaged a triple-double in two meetings with the Pistons last season - both losses - and is practically flirting with one every night in an MVP-caliber first month of 2016-17.
Orlando at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks will try to end a three-game slide and recover from an emotional loss when they host the Orlando Magic on Monday. Losers of five of six overall, the Bucks took the Golden State Warriors to the finish line in a dramatic encounter at home Saturday night before falling 124-121.
Boston at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas suggested his team "gave up" in a home loss to the Golden State Warriors on Friday but was singing a different tune with Al Horford and Jae Crowder back in the lineup the next night. The Celtics will try to ride their healthy lineup to a second straight win when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
Dallas at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
It has been a long time since a matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs appeared to be so one-sided, but that's the case as the longtime rivals meet for the first time this season Monday in San Antonio. The Mavericks have lost five straight games - including a 95-87 setback at Orlando on Saturday - while averaging 81.2 points and do not figure to break out anytime soon with injuries to several key players.
Toronto at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers look to follow up one of their best victories of the season and knock off another top Eastern Conference team when they host the Toronto Raptors on Monday night. The Clippers own the league’s best record (12-2) and trailed by as many as 19 before rallying past the Chicago Bulls 102-95 in the second of a tough back-to-back on Saturday.
