Preview Roundups
November 19, 2016
Utah at Houston 5:00 PM ET
The Utah Jazz are going to have to find a way to put some points on the board if they hope to compete with the host Houston Rockets on Saturday. The Jazz are coming off an 85-77 home loss to the Chicago Bulls in which they were held to 38.5 percent from the field.
Charlotte at New Orleans 7:00 PM ET
The Charlotte Hornets hope to avoid a letdown fewer than 24 hours after their biggest victory of the season when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night. The Hornets are off to a strong start overall, but had yet to beat a top-tier squad until rallying to edge the Atlanta Hawks 100-96 on Friday with a career high-matching 23 points from center Cody Zeller.
Miami at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The Washington Wizards are coming off their finest offensive performance of the young season, just in time to go up against a team coming off its best defensive effort. The Wizards will try to carry over the momentum on the offensive end when they host the Miami Heat on Saturday.
Dallas at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
The Dallas Mavericks will continue to play shorthanded while searching for answers on the offensive end when they open up a two-game road trip at the Orlando Magic on Saturday. Star forward Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles) and point guard Deron Williams (calf) have already been ruled out for this contest as they continue to nurse their respective injuries, and the list of physical woes continued to grow this week with word that point guard J.J. Barea would miss six weeks with a leg injury.
Boston at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons both gave disappointing performances on the front end of a back-to-back and are seeking better showings when they meet Saturday in Detroit. Boston gave a subpar performance in a 104-88 home loss to the Golden State Warriors on Friday while the Pistons were just as woeful while suffering a 104-81 road loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Phoenix at Philadelphia 7:30 PM ET
The Phoenix Suns attempt to string together two straight road victories for the first time this season when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night. The Suns received 78 points from their bench and had 14 steals in their best defensive effort of the campaign in Friday’s 116-96 triumph at Indiana to end a three-game losing streak.
Minnesota at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Timberwolves are showing signs of realizing their immense talent and will try to string together consecutive victories for the first time this season when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. The Timberwolves have won three of their last five and have defeated those three opponents by an average of 22 points.
Golden State at Milwaukee 8:30 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks were the first team to defeat Golden State last season while putting an end to the Warriors' season-opening 24-0 start. Milwaukee has dropped four of its last five games but attempts to deliver another stunning victory over Golden State when the Warriors visit Saturday.
Chicago at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers own the best record in the NBA and they will be tested by another hot squad when they host the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. Los Angeles improved to 11-2 with Friday's 121-115 road win over the Sacramento Kings while the Bulls have won four consecutive games and five of their past six contests.
