A pair of teams suffering through losing streaks will try to end their respective slides when the Detroit Pistons visit the Charlotte Hornets on Friday. The Pistons are 0-2 since star forward Blake Griffin debuted Monday against Minnesota and they've dropped three in a row overall.

The San Antonio Spurs have hit a rough patch since a strong start to the season and they'll attempt to salvage the finale of a two-game trip at the Orlando Magic on Friday. A 129-114 loss at Minnesota was the third straight defeat and the fifth in six games for the Spurs, who opened 4-1.

After beating up on many of the league's lesser teams, the Houston Rockets finally have a quality victory to their credit. They will try to make it two in a row against opponents with a winning record when they host the surging Indiana Pacers on Friday night.

Mike Conley promises to experience an emotional return to Memphis when the Utah Jazz visit the Grizzlies on Friday night. Conley spent 12 seasons with Memphis after being the fourth overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft and he is the franchise leader in games played (788), points (11,733) and assists (4,509).

Andrew Wiggins is playing like a former No. 1 overall draft pick and the Minnesota Timberwolves certainly like the results. Wiggins-led Minnesota goes after its fourth win in the past five games when it hosts the Washington Wizards on Friday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder aren't having much success against the top teams from the Eastern Conference of late and will face another East contender when the Philadelphia 76ers visit on Friday. The Thunder fell to the Milwaukee Bucks 121-119 on Sunday before getting crushed at Indiana 111-85 on Tuesday.

The Boston Celtics earned their ninth consecutive win with a 140-133 triumph over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday and embark on a five-game road trip with some momentum behind them. The Celtics will try to push the win streak to double digits when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

Star power forward Anthony Davis is expected to be back in the lineup when the Los Angeles Lakers host the Sacramento Kings on Friday. Davis sat out Wednesday's 120-94 home trouncing of the Golden State Warriors due to shoulder and rib injuries with X-rays on the rib coming back negative.
