Preview Roundups
November 06, 2016
Utah at New York 12:00 PM ET
The New York Knicks got themselves up for a revenge game against the Chicago Bulls on Friday and hope to carry some of that momentum forward when they host the Utah Jazz on Sunday. Knicks center Joakim Noah delivered his best performance of the young season against his former team while fellow former Bull Derrick Rose finally began to look comfortable running a new offense.
Portland at Memphis 3:30 PM ET
The hiring of coach David Fizdale was supposed to usher in a new offensive philosophy and higher point totals for the traditionally defensive-minded Memphis Grizzlies. The team is still struggling to get the pace up on a consistent basis and will try to nudge its point total out of the 80s when the Grizzlies host the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
Milwaukee at Dallas 7:00 PM ET
The Dallas Mavericks are off to the worst start in franchise history and now must press on without their leader. Dirk Nowitzki will be out for at least a week with a sore Achilles, a stretch that begins when the winless Mavericks host the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.
Denver at Boston 7:30 PM ET
The Boston Celtics still will be without center Al Horford when they host the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, but they may have another big man back in the fold. While Horford already has been ruled out for the second straight game due to a concussion, Kelly Olynyk (shoulder) has a chance to make his season debut.
Phoenix at L.A. Lakers 9:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Lakers did something on Friday that no team in the last two-plus seasons could accomplish - holding Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry without a 3-pointer. The Lakers will try to ride the momentum from the biggest win of the Luke Walton era when they host the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
