Preview Roundups
November 01, 2019
Houston at Brooklyn 7:00 PM ET
The Houston Rockets had some concerns about how former MVPs James Harden and Russell Westbrook would jell when paired together, but those questions - at least offensively - are being answered. The Rockets will try to follow a record-breaking offensive performance and earn a fourth consecutive win when they visit Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
Cleveland at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers put together their best offensive performance of the young season and managed to close out a three-game road trip with their first win on Wednesday. The Pacers will try to make it two in a row and earn some revenge when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.
Milwaukee at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks seemed to run out of steam in the second half of their first multi-game road trip of the season, and they hope to have a more complete effort when they finish the swing at the Orlando Magic on Friday. After racing to a 16-point halftime lead at Boston on Wednesday, the Bucks had no answers for the Celtics after the break while falling 116-105.
New York at Boston 7:30 PM ET
The Boston Celtics seek their second win over the New York Knicks in a week and their fourth straight victory overall when they host the Knicks on Friday. After a 118-95 triumph in Madison Square Garden on Saturday, the Celtics stormed back from a 16-point halftime deficit to knock off Milwaukee 116-105 at home Wednesday.
Detroit at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
The banged-up Detroit Pistons will try to salvage the finale of a two-game road trip Friday with a visit to the Chicago Bulls. The Pistons have won seven straight over the rival Bulls but could still be without two starters in the form of forward Blake Griffin (hamstring, knee) and guard Reggie Jackson (back).
L.A. Lakers at Dallas 9:30 PM ET
Anthony Davis is coming off one of the top performances in his career and aims to put together another strong showing when the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. Davis had 40 points and 20 rebounds in Tuesday's 120-91 romp over the Memphis Grizzlies to become the first Los Angeles player since Shaquille O'Neal in 2003 to put up at least 40 points and 20 boards in a single game.
Utah at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
Mike Conley is fresh off his best game since joining Utah and he looks to follow up the performance when the Jazz visit the Sacramento Kings on Friday. Conley busted out with 29 points on 11-of-17 shooting in Wednesday's 110-96 home win over the Los Angeles Clippers after being just 9-of-45 from the field in his first four games with the Jazz.
San Antonio at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors will be without star guard Stephen Curry for a yet to be determined time period because of a broken left hand. The Warriors attempt to set their disappointment aside Friday night when they host the San Antonio Spurs.
