After an embarrassing season-opening loss at home, the Milwaukee Bucks are hoping that the return of one of their stars ignites a bounce-back effort. Athletic forward Giannis Antetokounmpo returns to the lineup after a one-game suspension when Milwaukee hosts Washington on Friday night.

Major free-agent signing LaMarcus Aldridge makes his regular-season home debut when the San Antonio Spurs host the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. Aldridge inked a four-year, $84 million contract in the offseason after leaving Portland and managed 11 points and five rebounds as the Spurs dropped their season opener 112-106 at Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Minnesota at Denver 9:00 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets are geared toward being a dramatically improved team
and their opening-game performance certainly won't dissuade that belief.
The Nuggets posted a 105-85 road win over the Houston Rockets to start
the season and look to make it two consecutive victories when they host
the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

The Golden State Warriors dominated Houston last season and look to post
another victory when they visit the Rockets on Friday. Golden State
went 4-0 in the regular season against Houston and then defeated the
Rockets in five games in the Western Conference finals en route to
winning the NBA Finals.
L.A. Lakers at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
Kobe Bryant's 20th NBA season didn't begin with a victory and the Los
Angeles Lakers will attempt to even up their record when they visit the
Sacramento Kings on Friday. Bryant scored 24 points but was bypassed for
the game-winning shot attempt in the final seconds as Los Angeles fell
112-111 to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Portland at Phoenix 10:30 PM ET
Third-year shooting guard C.J. McCollum had the best game of his career
in Portland's opener and is intent on keeping a grasp of his starting
gig. McCollum looks to follow up a career-best 37-point effort when the
Trail Blazers visit the Phoenix Suns on Friday in the first of
back-to-back games between the two clubs.
