Preview Roundups
April 01, 2019
Detroit at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers can't seem to decide if they want to earn the No. 4 seed and homecourt advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Detroit Pistons, who visit the Pacers on Monday, are still trying to lock up their spot in the postseason and will look to take advantage of struggling Indiana.
Miami at Boston 7:30 PM ET
The Miami Heat have been picking on teams below them in the standings over the past week to hold onto the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They'll try their hand at one of the squads ahead of them in the East when they pay a visit to the Boston Celtics for a critical matchup Monday night.
Milwaukee at Brooklyn 7:30 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets responded to a disappointing road trip with a huge victory for their playoff hopes last time out and look to ride that momentum into a home game against the NBA-best Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night. The Nets, who sit in seventh place but just one game clear of ninth in the Eastern Conference, went 2-5 on their recent road trip before D’Angelo Russell recorded 29 points and 10 assists in a 110-96 win over Boston on Saturday.
Chicago at New York 7:30 PM ET
The New York Knicks have ensured their position among the bottom three teams in the NBA, which grants each of those squads an equal 14 percent chance at the No. 1 selection in this spring's draft. With that fate sealed, the Knicks can play to avoid finishing with the worst record in franchise history and will seek a rare victory when they host the Chicago Bulls on Monday.
Orlando at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
Every game is important to the Orlando Magic, who sit a half-game behind the Miami Heat in the battle for the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference. The Toronto Raptors, who host the Magic on Monday, are nearly assured of the No. 2 spot and are just tuning up for the postseason and trying to stay healthy while watching to see who they will play in the first round.
Portland at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
The Portland Trail Blazers are fighting for the No. 3 spot in the Western Conference and lost some ground with a poor performance on Saturday. The Trail Blazers will try to bounce back and finish a four-game road trip strong when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
Philadelphia at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
With the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference and home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs all but locked up, the Philadelphia 76ers prepare for another tune-up on the road as they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. The Sixers opened their three-game road trip with a 118-109 win at Minnesota on Saturday behind 25 points by Tobias Harris.
Charlotte at Utah 9:00 PM ET
The Utah Jazz continue their pursuit of home-court advantage in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Monday. The Jazz have won four contests in a row - including the first three of their four-game homestand - to move within two games of fourth-place Portland with six to play and owns the tiebreaker between the clubs.
Cleveland at Phoenix 10:00 PM ET
The Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers are both closing in on clinching two of the three worst records in the league and equal odds of winning the No. 1 pick in the draft lottery. Despite the incentive to lose, both teams still appear to be giving it their all and will try to knock off each other when the Suns host the Cavaliers on Monday.
