Preview Roundups
April 01, 2014
Houston at Brooklyn 8:00 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets seek a franchise-record 14th straight home win Tuesday while the Houston Rockets aim for their 15th consecutive victory over the Nets when they meet Tuesday in a matchup of teams close to clinching playoff spots. Brooklyn entered Monday with a chance to wrap up a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference with a New York loss in Utah, or it can do the trick with a win over the Rockets, whose magic number to clinch a spot in the West is three.
Golden State at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors are by no means assured of a playoff spot in the Western Conference as they begin a rough two-game road trip with the status of two starters up in the air. The Warriors begin with a visit to the Dallas Mavericks, who are one of a handful of teams in hot pursuit of Golden State in the standings. The Mavericks are trying to lock up their own spot and are 1 1/2 games behind the sixth-place Warriors.
Portland at L.A. Lakers 10:30 PM ET
The Portland Trail Blazers have rediscovered their stride since LaMarcus Aldridge returned to action and look to record their fourth consecutive victory when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Aldridge missed seven straight games due to a back injury that is still bothering him and has scored 25 or more points in two of his three games since returning. Portland’s winning streak has given it a two-game cushion over sixth-place Golden State in the Western Conference playoff race.
