Preview Roundups
February 24, 2020
Miami at Cleveland 7:00 PM ET
The Miami Heat had no trouble dispatching the Cavaliers at home on Saturday and will attempt to do the same on the road when they visit Cleveland on Monday in the finale of the home-and-home set. The Heat are one of the best home teams in the league at 23-3 in their own arena but are 13-17 on the road.
Atlanta at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers are still trying to find their consistency on the road but winning at home has not been a problem this season. The 76ers will try to defend their NBA-best home record when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.
Milwaukee at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The All-Star break did nothing to slow the Milwaukee Bucks' momentum and they'll look to improve to 3-0 since the intermission when they visit the Washington Wizards on Monday. Behind 31 points and 17 rebounds from superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks strolled past Philadelphia 119-98 on Saturday to move a season-high 40 games over .500.
Orlando at Brooklyn 7:30 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets continue to put their best foot forward without star guard Kyrie Irving and will attempt to win for the fourth time in their last five games when they host the Orlando Magic on Monday. The Nets went 8-12 with Irving (shoulder) in the lineup this season but improved to 18-17 without him with Saturday's 115-86 rout of the Charlotte Hornets.
New York at Houston 8:00 PM ET
Extreme small ball seems to be suiting the Houston Rockets nicely as they climb the standings in the Western Conference. The Rockets will try to push their winning streak to four in a row when they open a two-game homestand by hosting the New York Knicks on Monday.
Minnesota at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
Kristaps Porzingis is expected back in the lineup and All-Star Luka Doncic could return after a one-game absence when the Dallas Mavericks host the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night. Porzingis sat out Saturday’s 111-107 loss at Atlanta to rest while Doncic (29 points, 9.6 rebounds, 8.6 assists per game) missed the game with ankle soreness and is questionable for the matchup with the Timberwolves.
Phoenix at Utah 9:00 PM ET
The Utah Jazz fell short in a showdown against the Houston Rockets at home on Saturday and are winless in two contests since the All-Star break. The Jazz will try to avoid letting the slide reach three in a row when they host the Phoenix Suns on Monday.
Memphis at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers will try to snap their first three-game losing streak of the season and avenge one of their more embarrassing losses when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. After dropping back-to-back road games going into the All-Star break, the Clippers started the final third of the season with a clunker, falling 112-103 to visiting Sacramento on Saturday.
