January 23, 2017
Washington at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Washington Wizards had a four-game winning streak come to an end on a last-second tip Saturday and should be motivated to bounce back quickly when they visit the Southeast Division-rival Charlotte Hornets on Monday. The Hornets are winners of three straight and can leap over the Wizards in the division with a win.
San Antonio at Brooklyn 7:30 PM ET
Kawhi Leonard keeps getting better and is putting the San Antonio Spurs on his back while the team fights through injuries to key players. Leonard scored a career-high 41 points in an overtime win at Cleveland on Saturday and will try to maintain that same intensity when the Spurs visit the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.
L.A. Clippers at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The Atlanta Hawks’ up-again, down-again season appears to be finding some stable footing entering Monday’s home contest with the Los Angeles Clippers. Atlanta won 11 of its past 13 to move a season-high eight games above .500, using the duo of Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard to dominate the paint in Saturday’s 110-93 victory over Philadelphia.
Golden State at Miami 7:30 PM ET
Fatigue may be the only thing that can stop the Golden State Warriors as they go after their eighth consecutive victory Monday against the host Miami Heat. The Warriors will play their fifth game in eight days versus the rejuvenated Heat after putting up 42 points in the third quarter to pull away for a 118-98 victory at Orlando on Sunday afternoon.
Sacramento at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons aim for their first four-game winning streak of the season when they host the Sacramento Kings on Monday in the finale of a three-game homestand. The Pistons secured their third three-game run of the campaign with a dramatic 114-113 win over Washington on Saturday, as Marcus Morris capped a 25-point effort with a tip-in at the buzzer.
Houston at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The Houston Rockets will try to take advantage of the Milwaukee Bucks for the second time in a span of six days when the teams meet Monday in Milwaukee. Behind 38 points from James Harden, the Rockets cruised to a 111-92 win over the Bucks at home Wednesday night, their sixth win in the last seven meetings.
Cleveland at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
The New Orleans Pelicans are coming off a 29-point home loss to the worst team in the Eastern Conference and now have to face the best in the East while struggling to keep their season from falling into irrelevancy. The Pelicans will try to earn a signature win and give themselves a spark when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
New York at Indiana 8:00 PM ET
The New York Knicks aren't just losing games, they're losing them in crushing fashion. The Knicks will try to win for just the fourth time in 17 games when they begin a stretch with five of six on the road by visiting the Indiana Pacers on Monday.
