January 12, 2020
Miami at New York 3:30 PM ET
The Miami Heat have been dominant on their home court with 17 wins in 18 games, but are still looking for the same rhythm on the road as they prepare to visit the struggling New York Knicks on Sunday afternoon. The Heat have lost three of four away from AmericanAirlines Arena to drop to 10-10 overall on the road after coughing up a 12-point halftime lead in a 117-113 setback at Brooklyn on Friday.
Utah at Washington 3:30 PM ET
The red-hot Utah Jazz try for their ninth straight victory and seventh in a row over Washington when they visit the Wizards on Sunday. Donovan Mitchell, Utah's leading scorer at 24.2 points per game, has battled an illness during the last two games, finishing with four points and four assists in 22 minutes of Friday's 109-92 victory over Charlotte.
Atlanta at Brooklyn 6:00 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets try for their eighth straight victory over the visiting Atlanta Hawks on Sunday after snapping a seven-game losing streak, and hope that Rodions Kurucs’ performance in Friday’s victory over Miami marks a turning point for the second-year forward. Kurucs scored a season-high 19 points in the 117-113 triumph, shooting 4-for-5 from 3-point range, and played well defensively as Brooklyn overcame a nine-point deficit with 5:09 to play to win for the first time since Dec. 21 - agains
San Antonio at Toronto 6:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors are fighting through a series of key injuries but still manage to find their way into the win column with some regularity. The Raptors will try to put together back-to-back victories when they host former franchise star DeMar DeRozan and the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.
Golden State at Memphis 6:00 PM ET
The Memphis Grizzlies are rapidly improving into a playoff contender in the Western Conference and are enjoying their longest winning streak of the season. The up-and-coming squad will try to push the streak to five straight victories when they host the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
L.A. Clippers at Denver 8:00 PM ET
Second place in the Western Conference is at stake Sunday when the Denver Nuggets host the Los Angeles Clippers, who will be without Paul George. The All-Star forward, who averages 23.5 points per game, is out with a hamstring injury as coach Doc Rivers told the media: "We'll keep evaluating him and he'll be back soon, I think."
Charlotte at Phoenix 8:00 PM ET
The Phoenix Suns looked like they were headed for another fourth-quarter disappointment before Devin Booker came through in the clutch on Friday. The Suns will try to make it a little easier on themselves and earn back-to-back victories when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.
