Preview Roundups
January 12, 2017
Indiana at Denver 3:00 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets are losers of five straight with a defense that can't seem to stop anyone and are hoping a trip to the other side of the Atlantic can help them solve some of the issues. The Nuggets will face the Indiana Pacers on Thursday in the NBA's annual trip to London at the O2 Arena.
New Orleans at Brooklyn 7:30 PM ET
The New Orleans Pelicans still believe they can make a run at the playoffs in the Western Conference as long as star power forward Anthony Davis is healthy. Davis, who left a win at New York on Monday in the third quarter with a bruised left hip, expects to be back in the lineup when the Pelicans visit the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday.
Chicago at New York 8:00 PM ET
The Chicago Bulls unloaded Derrick Rose on the New York Knicks in the offseason and will run into the former NBA MVP on Thursday in New York as he continues to deal with the fallout from his odd behavior earlier this week. Rose missed Monday's game against New Orleans without informing the club - even declining to answer the team's calls - before returning Tuesday to say he was dealing with a family issue.
L.A. Lakers at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs own the second-best defense in the NBA but will be looking to bounce back from a rare shaky performance when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. San Antonio allows an average of 97.8 points but struggled on the defensive end during Tuesday's 109-107 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Dallas at Phoenix 10:00 PM ET
The Phoenix Suns are playing their next two games in Mexico City and the first is Thursday's contest against the Dallas Mavericks. After two of the worst teams in the NBA square off, Phoenix will see a rise in competition level when it faces the San Antonio Spurs south of the border on Saturday.
Detroit at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors can still win without one of their four All-Stars on the floor, but they prefer to spend their time together. The Warriors expect to have Klay Thompson back in the lineup when they host the Detroit Pistons on Thursday.
