Miami at NY Mets 1:10 PM ET
The New York Mets had a rare offensive breakout at home and now set their sights on a series win when they host the Miami Marlins in the finale of a three-game set Sunday afternoon. The Mets averaged 2.3 runs during a 1-8 swoon at Citi Field and they were kept off the scoreboard through the first five innings of Saturday's matchup, but a seven-run outburst in the sixth led to an 8-1 win.
Seattle at Tampa Bay 1:10 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners go for a sweep of the season series and attempt to extend their winning streak to five games overall when they visit the slumping Tampa Bay Rays for the finale of a three-game set Sunday afternoon. The Mariners have outscored the Rays 42-14 while winning all five matchups this year after holding on for a 7-6 victory Saturday and are winners of nine of last 11 meetings at Tampa Bay.
LA Dodgers at Detroit 1:10 PM ET
The rich just keep getting richer in the case of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who continue to win and add pieces to the roster while having the luxury of giving some of their best players plenty of time off. The Dodgers will try to wrap up another series sweep and continue their march toward the best regular season in baseball history when they visit the Detroit Tigers on Sunday.
NY Yankees at Boston 1:30 PM ET
The New York Yankees knocked a game off their deficit in the American League East on Saturday and have a chance to do it again when they visit the Boston Red Sox on Sunday in the rubber match of a three-game series. The Yankees sit four games back after holding the Red Sox off in a 4-3 win on Saturday and control the AL wild card.
Cincinnati at Atlanta 1:35 PM ET
The Cincinnati Reds play their 37th contest in 38 days when they conclude a three-game series Sunday at the Atlanta Braves, and aim for a sweep as they continue to rebound from a miserable ending to July. The Reds won 11-8 Saturday and improved to 11-8 in August after losing 14 of their final 17 games last month, getting three hits each from Tucker Barnhart and Scott Schebler, along with a grand slam and five RBIs from Scooter Gennett.
LA Angels at Baltimore 1:35 PM ET
Two of the best young players in the majors are taking turns putting on home run shows this weekend with the Los Angeles Angels visiting the Baltimore Orioles. Mike Trout and Manny Machado will each try to lead their respective teams to a series win when the Orioles host the Angels in the rubber match on Sunday.
