The Detroit Tigers attempt to avoid matching their longest losing streak in more than four years when they wind up a three-game set against the visiting Oakland Athletics on Thursday afternoon. Baltimore at Houston 2:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros stumbled a bit at the end of May but are rebounding quite nicely at the start of June by picking on the Baltimore Orioles. The Astros will try to polish off a four-game sweep when they host the Orioles in the series finale on Thursday afternoon.
Minnesota at Boston 4:05 PM ET
The offense continues to come and go for the Boston Red Sox, who will try to clinch a series victory when they host the Minnesota Twins in the finale of a four-game set Thursday afternoon. The Red Sox totaled seven runs in the first three games of the series, with six of those coming in one game.
Chi. Cubs at Washington 7:05 PM ET

Two National League contenders looking to get back on track square off for a four-game series starting Wednesday in the nation's capital. The Chicago Cubs and the Washington Nationals aim to shake off their recent struggles when they clash for the second time in two weeks.

Cincinnati at Philadelphia 7:05 PM ET
The Philadelphia Phillies attempt to complete a three-game sweep when they host the Cincinnati Reds in the series finale on Thursday. After rallying for a walk-off victory in the opener to end its seven-game losing streak, Philadelphia staged more late heroics Tuesday as it scored four runs in the ninth inning to forge a tie before Cody Asche scored on an error in the 11th for a 5-4 triumph.
Chi. White Sox at Texas 8:05 PM ET
The Chicago White Sox have a chance to wrap up their 11-game road trip with a winning record when they face the Texas Rangers on Thursday in the finale of their three-game set. The White Sox rebounded from a 15-2 beating in the series opener by drubbing the Rangers 9-2 on Wednesday to improve to 5-5 on the four-city trek.
Cleveland at Kansas City 8:10 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals attempt to record their third series win over the Cleveland Indians in three tries this season when the American League Central rivals meet at Kauffman Stadium in the rubber match of their three-game set Thursday. Kansas City erased an early 2-1 deficit on Wednesday as Lorenzo Cain, Eric Hosmer and Kendrys Morales hit consecutive RBI doubles in the third inning for a 4-2 triumph that evened the series at one win apiece.
NY Mets at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
Matt Harvey attempts to halt a five-start winless stretch when the New York Mets open a four-game series Thursday against the host Arizona Diamondbacks. Harvey won his first five starts of the season before entering the winless span that has seen him go 0-3 since last winning May 1.
Tampa Bay at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners look to turn their fortunes around when they host the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday in the opener of a four-game series. Seattle dropped a 3-1 decision to the New York Yankees on Wednesday for its fifth consecutive defeat — falling to 1-6 on an 11-game homestand — and acquired slugger Mark Trumbo in a six-player deal with Arizona after the contest.
St. Louis at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
Michael Wacha sets his sights on rebounding from his initial loss of the campaign when the St. Louis Cardinals open a four-game series against the host Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday.
