Seattle at Toronto 1:07 PM ET
The Toronto Blue Jays are sliding in the wrong direction and attempt to avoid being swept when they host the Seattle Mariners in Sunday’s finale of a three-game set. The Blue Jays have lost nine of their last 11 games and stand a season-worst seven games below .500.
Houston at Detroit 1:08 PM ET
The Houston Astros look to earn a split of a four-game series with Detroit when they visit the Tigers in Sunday’s finale. Detroit won the first two games of the series before Houston rebounded with a 3-2 win on Saturday.
Baltimore at Miami 1:10 PM ET
Less than 24 hours after ending a lengthy losing streak with an extra-inning victory, the Miami Marlins attempt to win their first series since the beginning of the month when they host the Baltimore Orioles in the finale of their three-game set Sunday afternoon. Miami kicked off its 10-game homestand with eight consecutive losses but showed signs of breaking out of its slump by scoring at least five runs in each of its last two defeats after totaling 11 over the first six.
Cincinnati at Cleveland 1:10 PM ET
A pair of teams going in opposite directions square off when the surging Cleveland Indians attempt to complete a three-game sweep of the visiting Cincinnati Reds on Sunday. The Indians won their third straight series with Saturday's 2-1 victory and look to run their winning streak to six games against the skidding Reds, who have dropped seven in a row.
Oakland at Tampa Bay 1:10 PM ET
Sonny Gray, who has been one of the few bright spots for the Oakland Athletics this season, attempts to gain them a split of their four-game series against the host Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday. Gray, who ranks second in the American League in ERA (1.92), has held opponents to fewer than two earned runs in six of his nine outings.
LA Angels at Boston 1:35 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox look to break even on their six-game homestand when they take on the Los Angeles Angels in the rubber match of their three-game series Sunday. Boston edged Texas in the opener of its string at Fenway Park but dropped its next three contests before ending the slide Saturday with an 8-3 triumph over Los Angeles.
Milwaukee at Atlanta 1:35 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves wrap up a four-game home series Sunday with the Milwaukee Brewers before starting a 10-game road trip, but there are reasons for optimism as Atlanta finds itself back at .500 for the season. Atlanta (21-21) sits only 3 ½ games behind first-place Washington in the National League East and injured third baseman Chris Johnson is expected to rejoin the team later this week.
NY Mets at Pittsburgh 1:35 PM ET
Former National League MVP Andrew McCutchen has turned his season around over the past 2 1/2 weeks and looks to lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to a three-game sweep of the visiting New York Mets in Sunday's series finale. The Pirates have won 11 of the last 15 against New York after battering Mets ace Matt Harvey in Saturday's 8-2 victory.
Philadelphia at Washington 1:35 PM ET
Winning seven of their past nine games has vaulted the Washington Nationals into first place in the National League East, but the hands-down division favorite continues to show flaws. The Nationals host the Philadelphia Phillies in Sunday’s finale of a three-game series after committing four errors, running their total to 34 through 43 games – second-highest in the National League – in Saturday’s 8-1 loss.
Minnesota at Chi. White Sox 2:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins seek their seventh victory in the last 10 games when they visit the Chicago White Sox in the finale of a three-game set. The teams split the first two contests with Minnesota beating Chicago ace Chris Sale on Saturday for the second time this season.
St. Louis at Kansas City 2:10 PM ET
Although five games provides a pretty small sample size, it might be fair to say the St. Louis Cardinals will be happy to get away from interleague play after this weekend. The Cardinals look to stay undefeated when they send Michael Wacha to the mound as they try to avoid a three-game sweep in Kansas City when they face the Royals on Sunday.
Chi. Cubs at Arizona 4:10 PM ET
The future looks bright for the Chicago Cubs, but the present doesn't appear too bad either as they try for their fourth straight series victory when they visit the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday in the finale of a three-game set. Chicago boasts a young and talented infield led by first baseman Anthony Rizzo, who snapped a 2-for-18 slide over his previous five contests by matching a career high with six RBIs capped by a tiebreaking three-run homer in the ninth inning of Saturday's 9-6 victory.
San Francisco at Colorado 4:10 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies are 3-3 in their last six games — cause for celebration in Denver — and try for their third consecutive series split when they host the San Francisco Giants on Sunday in the finale of their four-game series. Colorado won the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, snapping San Francisco's eight-game winning streak with a 5-3 victory, and is 9-23 since starting the season 7-2 and 0-6-4 in series during that span.
San Diego at LA Dodgers 4:10 PM ET
The San Diego Padres had high hopes after upgrading their outfield during the offseason, but so far their offense looks a lot like last year’s anemic unit. The Padres have been shutout six times this month and head into Sunday’s series finale against the host Los Angeles Dodgers aiming to snap a four-game losing streak.
Texas at NY Yankees 8:05 PM ET
A fast start to the season is quickly becoming a distant memory for the New York Yankees, who will attempt to avoid a sixth consecutive loss and a three-game sweep when they host the Texas Rangers on Sunday night. The Yankees have dropped nine of 10 following a sizzling 18-6 stretch, their first 1-9 tailspin since 2005.
