Preview Roundups
April 07, 2015
Baltimore at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
The Baltimore Orioles led the majors in home runs the last two seasons and showed no reason they can’t do it again after belting three on Opening Day. The Orioles could get more power back in the lineup as Chris Davis is eligible to return from a 25-game suspension for his use of amphetamines Tuesday when they visit the Tampa Bay Rays in the second of a three-game series.
Atlanta at Miami 7:10 PM ET
Mat Latos won 14 games three times in four seasons before elbow and knee injuries limited him to 16 starts in 2014, but the Coconut Creek, Fla., native starts his 2015 season close to home. The Miami Marlins acquired Latos in an offseason trade with Cincinnati and hand the right-hander the ball for Tuesday’s home contest against the Atlanta Braves.
St. Louis at Chi. Cubs 8:05 PM ET
The St. Louis Cardinals do not appear ready to relinquish control of the National League Central to anyone - especially Chicago - and look to make it two straight over the Cubs when they continue their three-game series at Wrigley Field on Tuesday. St. Louis waited patiently for the pomp and circumstance of Opening Day to end before defeating ace Jon Lester and Chicago 3-0 on Sunday as new addition Jason Heyward appeared comfortable batting second in the lineup.
Colorado at Milwaukee 8:10 PM ET

The Colorado Rockies managed to lead the National League in runs a year ago despite numerous injuries to key players, and they appear poised to pick up where they left off. The Rockies look to build upon an impressive opener when they aim for a second straight win over the host Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday.

San Francisco at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
One game in, and San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy is already writing his starting rotation down in pencil. Ryan Vogelsong has been pulled from the bullpen and will get the nod Tuesday against the host Arizona Diamondbacks after scheduled starter Jake Peavy was scratched with back stiffness.
Texas at Oakland 10:05 PM ET
The Oakland Athletics ended a long Opening Day drought with a victory and attempt to start 2-0 when they host the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. Oakland had lost a record 10 straight openers before Sonny Gray took a no-hitter into the eighth inning Monday to lead the Athletics to an 8-0 victory.
LA Angels at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners are expecting to contend for the American League West crown and continuing to have success against the visiting Los Angeles Angels can only help in that quest. Seattle began the season with a 4-1 victory over the Angels, the defending division champions who won 98 games last season, and look for a second straight win on Tuesday.
San Diego at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The San Diego Padres stole the spotlight on Sunday with yet another blockbuster deal, but one of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ own key offseason addition via trade made sure the National League West favorites got their season off on the right foot. After hitting the tiebreaking three-run homer in the eighth inning on Opening Day, Jimmy Rollins looks to power the Dodgers to their 14th home win in their last 18 meetings with the Padres on Tuesday.
