Preview Roundups

Baltimore at NY Yankees 1:05 PM ET
The Baltimore Orioles still don’t have the offense humming along like they hoped but at least the pitching appears to be rounding into form. The Orioles will attempt to put together back-to-back victories for the first time this season when they continue their road trip at the New York Yankees on Monday. Baltimore scored only five of its 13 runs in Detroit prior to the ninth inning but got a strong performance from Chris Tillman to avoid a sweep on Sunday.
LA Angels at Houston 2:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels are coming off a disappointing season and are in danger of falling into an early hole again this year. Losers of four of their first six games, the Angels hope to avoid falling to the Houston Astros for a second straight day when the teams square off Monday afternoon. Houston lost the first two contests of the four-game series before hitting five home runs in Sunday's 7-4 triumph.
Oakland at Minnesota 4:10 PM ET
Chris Colabello has proved more than worthy of his spot in the middle of the batting order for the Minnesota Twins through the first six games of the season. Colabello owns at least a hit in each contest and 11 RBIs overall as he leads the Twins into their home opener against the Oakland Athletics on Monday. The 30-year-old Colabello, who played in the Independent League from 2005-2011 before joining Minnesota, had a go-ahead three-run double to help beat Cleveland 10-7 on Sunday.
Cincinnati at St. Louis 4:15 PM ET
Great pitching and rain delays defined two of the first three meetings between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cincinnati Reds. It could be a common theme in this three-game set as well as the Cardinals welcome the Reds in their home opener on Monday. St. Louis traded 1-0 results with Cincinnati in the teams’ opening series last week before the Cardinals prevailed 7-6 in the finale, but the final two games were marred by lengthy rain delays that lasted a total of six hours, 22 minutes.
San Diego at Cleveland 7:05 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians’ young starting rotation entered the season full of promise, but their last five starters have combined for a 7.66 ERA over 22 1/3 innings. Right-hander Corey Kluber will look to reverse the trend on Monday when the Indians begin a three-game series against the visiting San Diego Padres, who snapped a four-game losing streak Sunday with a 4-2 win at Miami. The Padres are still waiting for their offense to get untracked after batting .189 through the first six games.
Texas at Boston 7:10 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox began their home slate with three straight losses thanks to an uninspiring offense. They will look for their first home victory when they welcome the Texas Rangers to Fenway Park for the opener of a three-game series on Monday. The Rangers are one of the few teams to have had plenty of success in Boston over the last few seasons and come into the series with some momentum after shutting out the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday.
Tampa Bay at Kansas City 8:10 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals played some of their best baseball against the pitching-rich Tampa Bay Rays last season, winning six of seven games while scoring a total of 53 runs. The Royals look to carry that success over to 2014 as they host Tampa Bay on Monday in the opener of a three-game series. Kansas City's offense is off to a slow start as the club is batting .244 and is the only team in the majors without a home run.
Chi. White Sox at Colorado 8:40 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies and Chicago White Sox jump into some early interleague action when the teams meet Monday in Colorado in the opener of a three-game set. White Sox starter Felipe Paulino will be facing one of his former teams, although Rockies fans likely don't have fond memories of his time with the club. The Rockies counter with Jordan Lyles, who will make his first home start after coming over in an offseason trade with the Astros.
