Yegor Sharangovich scored twice in Calgary's three-goal second period as the visiting Flames beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-3 on Thursday night.

After posting an assist in the first, Sharangovich tallied twice as the Flames took control 4-1 with three markers in 3:14 en route to their sixth win in seven games.

Sharangovich finished with two assists for a career-best four-point outing. Dryden Hunt, Jakob Pelletier, Blake Coleman and Andrew Mangiapane also tallied for Calgary, and Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar notched two assists apiece.

The Flames were without forward Martin Pospisil, who began serving a three-game suspension for boarding Seattle's Vince Dunn on Monday.

Claimed off waivers from the Dallas Stars on Tuesday, Flames defenseman Joel Hanley had an assist in his team debut as Calgary backed up its 4-2 home win over the Lightning on Dec. 16.

Tampa Bay's Conor Sheary broke a 35-game goal drought and had an assist, and Anthony Cirelli and Michael Eyssimont also scored for the Lightning. Nicholas Paul had two assists, but the Lightning fell to 1-4-1 in their past six home games.

Calgary's Jacob Markstrom earned the win by stopping 19 shots. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 18 saves for Tampa Bay.

After trading away defensemen Noah Hanifin and Chris Tanev in the past week, the Flames held the Lightning without a shot on goal until Darren Raddysh fired one on Markstrom with 6:47 left in the first period.

Within that span, the visitors grabbed a 1-0 lead when Sharangovich slid a pass out front to Hunt for his second goal at 11:40.

Sheary -- goalless since netting his first on Nov. 2 -- received a backhanded pass from Paul and tallied to tie it at 14:28 of the first.

In the second, Calgary went up 2-1 on a fabulous no-look, backhanded pass by Huberdeau through the crease to Sharangovich for his first score of the game at 6:11.

Just 2:23 later, Sharangovich made it 3-1 by blistering a one-timer for his 25th goal, setting a career-high mark.

The onslaught continued when Pelletier scored his first just 51 seconds later -- a marker the Lightning unsuccessfully challenged for goaltender interference on Andrei Kuzmenko.

Cirelli cut it to 4-2 with his 14th goal at 12:29 of the second.

At 6:04 of the third, Coleman re-established the three-goal lead with his team-leading 26th goal. Mangiapane potted his 13th into an empty net at 12:17 before Eyssimont netted his ninth at 14:35.
