Stars 4, Canucks 3 (OT): Rookie defenseman John Klingberg scored at 4:13 of overtime as visiting Dallas kept alive its slim playoff hopes.

Tyler Seguin recorded a goal and an assist while captain Jamie Benn and Patrick Eaves also tallied as the Stars beat Vancouver for the seventh straight time to draw within six points of Winnipeg for the second wild card in the Western Conference. Defenseman Trevor Daley and Cody Eakin each collected a pair of assists while Kari Lehtonen made 33 saves to win for the fifth time in six starts.

Radim Vrbata and Nick Bonino each scored a goal and set up another while Chris Higgins tallied on the power play for the Canucks, who moved three points ahead of Los Angeles for second place in the Pacific Division. Defenseman Chris Tanev notched two assists and Eddie Lack turned aside 36 shots in Vancouver's second straight defeat.

Higgins tipped a blast by defenseman Dan Hamhuis midway through the second period for a 2-1 edge, but Eaves knocked home the rebound of Jason Spezza's wraparound attempt at 7:55 of the third to tie it. Seguin beat Lack to the short side on a breakaway 6 1/2 minutes later for his 34th goal, but he was sent off for slashing at 18:12 and the Canucks tied it 16 seconds later as Vrbata scored his 30th on a turnaround shot from the right faceoff circle.

Dallas, which was blanked 4-0 at Edmonton on Friday, needed less than two minutes to get on the scoreboard as Benn jammed home a rebound on the doorstep. Vancouver caught the Stars in a line change and Tanev's stretch pass set up a 2-on-1 rush, with Bonino burying a feed from Vrbata with 8:42 left in the opening period.
