Senators 3, Blues 2 (SO): Bobby Ryan scored the lone goal in the third round of the shootout as visiting Ottawa rallied to avenge a loss to St. Louis four days ago.

Erik Condra scored his first goal of the season and Alex Chiasson notched the equalizer in the final minute of regulation as the Senators erased a two-goal deficit to halt a two-game skid. Robin Lehner turned aside 27 shots and denied all three attempts in the bonus format to secure the victory.

Defenseman Ian Cole scored his first goal of the season and Alexander Steen added a power-play tally for the Blues, who lost for only the fourth time in 16 games (12-3-1). Jake Allen made 15 saves and permitted both goals after Brian Elliott (16 saves) exited with a lower-body injury with almost six minutes to play in the second.

After each team had an early goal disallowed, Cole got the Blues on the scoreboard just over 14 minutes into the contest with a shot from the blue line that clipped off the stick of a Senators player and fluttered past Lehner. St. Louis doubled the lead with 7:55 left in the second period as Paul Stastny slid a crossing pass to Steen, who ripped a wrister from the right circle to the top corner.

Elliott hurt his right leg with 6:02 left in the second on another disallowed tally as Condra was called for incidental contact after he was taken down by defenseman Chris Butler. Condra made his next chance count, redirecting defenseman Eric Gryba's right point shot at 7:55 of the third to cut the deficit in half before Chiasson shoveled home a loose puck that was behind Allen with 40.4 seconds remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: St. Louis had a goal negated due to goalie interference on Jori Lehtera, who appeared to barely brush Lehner. The Senators had a tally waved off shortly thereafter when officials ruled that the whistle blew before Condra's shot trickled over the line. ... Longtime Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson, who spent last season with Detroit after playing his first 17 seasons with Ottawa, will officially announce his retirement on Dec. 4 before the Senators' home game versus the New York Islanders. ... D Barret Jackman appeared in his 745th game with the Blues, surpassing Brett Hull for the third-highest total in franchise history, while D Jay Bouwmeester (lower body) sat out his second in a row after having his streak of 737 games played halted.
