Penguins 3, Bruins 2 (OT): Evgeni Malkin scored his second goal just 32 seconds into overtime and Marc-Andre Fleury recorded his 300th career victory as visiting Pittsburgh snapped a modest two-game skid.

Captain Sidney Crosby skated into the offensive zone before wiring a sharp feed from the left circle to the right for Malkin, who got just enough on his shot to beat a sliding Tuukka Rask (30 saves). Malkin also scored a power-play goal in the second period to extend his point streak to five games.

Crosby collected a goal and two assists for the Penguins, who improved to 11-2-1 in their last 14 games overall - and 6-1-1 in their last eight visits to TD Garden. Defenseman Kris Letang set up a pair of tallies and Fleury finished with 27 saves.

Defenseman Joe Morrow scored his first NHL goal against the team that selected him in the first round of the 2011 draft. Milan Lucic also tallied for the Bruins, who suffered their first loss in five games that spanned beyond regulation.

Craig Adams' sharp wrist shot from the left circle was denied by Rask, but the puck caromed off the skate of Patric Hornqvist and right to Crosby for the backhanded conversion 3:33 into the contest. Lucic's tap-in from the right doorstep forged a tie at 1:43 of the second period and Morrow's wrist shot from the point gave the Bruins the lead before Malkin's power-play goal midway through the session evened it up again.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Boston nearly tied the contest at 1-1 midway through the first period as C Patrice Bergeron was deemed to have batted the puck with his stick above the crossbar. The Bruins were poised to take a 3-2 lead midway into the second, but officials determined that C Carl Soderberg intentionally hit the puck into the net with his glove. ... Penguins LW Chris Kunitz saw his nine-game point streak versus Boston come to an end. ... Bruins LW David Pastrnak logged 7:53 in his season debut. He was recalled from Providence of the American Hockey League earlier in the day.
