Canadiens 6, Flyers 3: PA Parenteau and Dale Weise each scored twice while David Desharnais added a goal and an assist as Montreal completed a perfect four-game homestand.

Defenseman P.K. Subban also tallied and Carey Price made 26 saves for the Canadiens, who have won five in a row overall. Alex Galchenyuk collected three assists while Tomas Plekanec, Max Pacioretty and blue-liners Andrei Markov and Sergei Gonchar notched two apiece as Montreal went 3-for-3 on the power play.

Brayden Schenn netted a pair of goals and Matt Read also scored for the Flyers, who allowed three man-advantage tallies for the second straight night. Ray Emery stopped 22 shots while Jakub Voracek recorded two assists to extend his point streak to 10 games - and overtake Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby for the NHL scoring lead with 26 points.

Parenteau opened the scoring during a power play 6:47 into the game by burying a rebound from the left side of the crease and Desharnais poked in a loose puck in the crease two minutes later for another man-advantage goal. Montreal converted for the third time in three opportunities at 6:17 of the second period, when Subban beat Emery from the left side after receiving a cross-crease pass from Galchenyuk.

Schenn got Philadelphia back into the game with goals 6:45 apart later in the session, but Parenteau gave the Canadiens a 4-2 lead by tipping Gonchar's rising shot from the blue line past Emery 62 seconds into the third. Read answered during a power play at 5:38, digging a loose puck away from a pile near the right post and skating around the crowd before burying it from the doorstep, before Weise scored twice later in the period to seal the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Parenteau's two-goal performance was his second of the season, while Schenn and Weise registered their first of 2014-15. ... Gonchar's assist on Parenteau's second goal was his first point in two games since being acquired from Dallas on Tuesday. ... Price appeared in his 384th career contest, moving past Bill Durnan for sole possession of fourth place on the franchise list.
