Kings 5, Blue Jackets 2: Tyler Toffoli and Jeff Carter each recorded a goal and three assists to help Los Angeles wrap up a perfect six-game homestand.

Tanner Pearson scored twice in the third period and Dwight King also tallied for the Kings, who completed the first 6-0-0 homestand in team history. Jonathan Quick made 22 saves for his fifth consecutive victory.

Defenseman Tim Erixon recorded his first career goal and Mark Letestu also scored for Columbus, which ended its road trip with two straight losses. Sunday’s game was halted for a considerable amount of time in the third period as Blue Jackets forward Nick Foligno suffered a serious injury when he collided head-first with a linesman and was carried off the ice on a stretcher.

Erixon opened the scoring during a power play with 5:21 left in the first period, but Carter netted a man-advantage goal of his own 3:04 into the second to forge a tie. Toffoli put Los Angeles in front with a one-timer from a sharp angle at 16:30 and King added to the lead 2:02 later.

Letestu brought the Blue Jackets within one in the final minute of the middle period, but Pearson scored two goals 3:37 apart in the latter half of the third to seal the win. Sergei Bobrovsky had a day to forget, stopping 22 shots for Columbus.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kings C Anze Kopitar left the game in the second period with an upper-body injury and did not return. … Los Angeles' "That 70s Line" consisting of Carter, Pearson and Toffoli has scored 16 of the team's 21 goals this season. … The Kings have defeated Columbus eight times in their last 10 meetings at Staples Center.
