Penguins 5, Stars 1: Captain Sidney Crosby padded his NHL scoring lead with two goals and an assist as host Pittsburgh cruised past Dallas.

Crosby increased his point total to 90 while Lee Stempniak added a goal and two assists and Chris Kunitz scored and set up a tally. Brandon Sutter had the other goal while Jeff Zatkoff stopped 32 shots for the Penguins, who halted a two-game losing streak.

Tyler Seguin had the lone goal for the Stars, who have been outscored 16-6 during a three-game skid. Kari Lehtonen made 27 saves in his return after missing the previous three games with a head injury.

Crosby opened the scoring 4:17 into the game, forcing a turnover deep in the Dallas zone before waiting out Lehtonen and lofting a backhand into a partially open net. After Seguin's redirection of defenseman Trevor Daley's shot drew the Stars even at 12:30, Kunitz restored the Penguins' lead at 15:25 with a sharp-angle shot past Lehtonen, who had stopped Stempniak's initial shot from the slot.

Stempniak made it a 3-1 game 13:21 into the second, completing a three-way passing play with Crosby and Kunitz with a tap-in from the doorstep. Crosby put the game away just under two minutes into the third - knocking home a rebound from point-blank range - and Sutter completed the scoring with a short-handed goal at 12:47.
