Kings 3, Jets 1: Mike Richards scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period as visiting Los Angeles matched a season high with its sixth consecutive victory.

Captain Dustin Brown and defenseman Alec Martinez tallied for the Kings, who also won six straight from Dec. 2-14 and posted just their second triumph in seven outings against Winnipeg (2-3-2). Jonathan Quick turned aside 17 shots in the victory.

Veteran Olli Jokinen scored his second goal in three contests and Ondrej Pavelec finished with 38 saves for the Jets, who fell for the fourth time in six outings (2-2-2).

Richards made Winnipeg defenseman Tobias Enstrom pay for a costly giveaway at center ice by stepping into a rolling puck and blasting it past Pavelec. Richards' ninth goal gave Los Angeles a 2-1 lead with 3:45 remaining in the second period. Martinez provided insurance with 4:09 remaining in the third, skating in all alone before beating Pavelec for a power-play goal.

The Jets opened the scoring 12:03 into the second as Evander Kane absorbed a hard hit while feeding Jokinen, who beat Quick from in close for his 15th goal. Brown answered 42 seconds later as he deflected Jarret Stoll's cross-crease feed past Pavelec.
