Senators 5, Blues 4 (OT): Kyle Turris scored in regulation before netting the decisive goal in the fifth round of the shootout and Robin Lehner turned aside 46 shots as Ottawa salvaged the finale of its three-game road trip.

After Stephane Da Costa converted his backhander to extend the contest in the third round, Turris breezed in and snapped a low shot past Jaroslav Halak to end it.

Captain Jason Spezza collected a goal and two assists, Erik Karlsson scored his NHL-leading 14th goal by a defenseman and Milan Michalek also tallied for Ottawa.

T.J. Oshie scored and set up a goal and captain David Backes, veteran Brenden Morrow and defenseman Jordan Leopold also tallied. Halak finished with 27 saves for the Blues, who registered a season-high 50 shots but suffered their first loss to an Eastern Conference representative (9-0-1).

Michalek trimmed a two-goal deficit after converting Spezza's no-look pass 5:52 into the third period and Turris scored from a sharp angle to forge a 3-3 tie. After Spezza's shot from the top of the left circle capped Ottawa's three-goal surge in a 2:35-span, Leopold knotted it up again nearly three minutes later after banking the puck off Lehner for his first goal with St. Louis.

GAME NOTEBOOK: St. Louis seized a 2-1 lead in unconventional fashion as Oshie's blast sailed under the crossbar, but play continued as the officials assumed the puck caromed out of play. Oshie spotted the puck lodged in the net and alerted the officials, who credited him with his 13th goal. ... With his first-period goal, Morrow extended his point streak versus Ottawa to seven games (three goals, nine assists). ... Backes and D Kevin Shattenkirk each had seven shots for St. Louis.
