Jets 2, Canadiens 1: Michael Frolik capitalized on a mistake by Carey Price 1:04 into the third period to give Winnipeg its first victory at Montreal since the franchise moved from Atlanta.

Defenseman Tobias Enstrom scored his first goal in 10 games for the Jets, who improved to 8-2-0 under new coach Paul Maurice. Backup goaltender Al Montoya made 30 saves for his second consecutive victory.

Captain Brian Gionta had the lone reply for the Canadiens, who went 0-1-1 in back-to-back home games to fall to 15-10-4 at Bell Centre. Price stopped 33 shots after making 34 saves in a 2-1 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Price moved out to make a play in front of the restricted area early in the third period but Winnipeg captain Andrew Ladd knocked the puck behind him, leaving the Canadiens netminder stranded. Ladd fed Frolik in the slot for the easy shot into an open net that stood as the game-winning goal.

Enstrom opened the scoring 9:13 into the second period with a wraparound attempt that fooled Price. Tomas Plekanec found Gionta in the slot and the latter snapped a quick shot past Montoya to tie the game nearly seven minutes later.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Enstrom has four points (one goal, three assists) in the last five games. … Jets D Dustin Byfuglien was credited with a game-high 10 hits. … Winnipeg moved within four points of a Western Conference wild-card playoff berth.
