Bruins 3, Predators 2 (OT): Brad Marchand scored 54 seconds into overtime and Niklas Svedberg turned aside 33 shots in his NHL debut as host Boston completed a two-game season sweep of Nashville.

Marchand ended the contest in impressive fashion, deftly tapping the puck between the legs of charging Predators center Mike Fisher before unleashing a quick wrist shot from just above the left circle that beat rookie Marek Mazanec.

Jarome Iginla netted his third goal in two meetings against Nashville and defenseman Johnny Boychuk tallied for the first time since Nov. 18. Defenseman Dougie Hamilton notched an assist in his return from a 10-game absence due to a lower-body injury as the Bruins snapped a two-game skid.

Captain Shea Weber collected a goal and an assist, Viktor Stalberg also tallied and Fisher set up both tallies to record his eighth point in three contests. Mazanec finished with 22 saves for the Predators, who have dropped six of their last eight games (2-4-2).

Milan Lucic skated up the left wing before wristing a centering feed to Iginla, who skated hard to the front of the net to deflect the puck past Mazanec and give Boston a 2-1 lead with 7:31 remaining in the third period. Weber answered 2:06 later after unleashing a blast from the outside edge of the right circle that beat Svedberg.
