Canadiens 4, Predators 3 (OT):
David Desharnais forced a turnover and blasted a slap shot past Carter Hutton 1:43 into overtime as visiting Montreal overcame a Nashville rally.

Defenseman P.K. Subban tallied for the first time in 10 games while Max Pacioretty and Tomas Plekanec also scored for the Canadiens, who are 1-1-0 on their six-game road trip. Carey Price made 31 saves, including 18 in the second period.

Captain Shea Weber had a goal and an assist while Gabriel Bourque and Nick Spaling also tallied for the Predators, who are winless in three contests. Marek Mazanec was pulled after allowing three goals on five shots in his first start since December 7 and Hutton made 17 saves the rest of the way.

Subban opened the scoring 11 1/2 minutes into the game with a slap shot from the high slot. Pacioretty put home a backhander after driving to the net 1:50 later and Plekanec tipped in captain Brian Gionta’s shot 77 seconds afterward to end Mazanec’s night.

Bourque began Nashville's comeback by firing a quick shot over Price at 11:51 of the second period and Spaling tipped in Weber’s shot during a power play with 1:51 remaining in the session. Weber scored during another man advantage with 6:20 left in the third to send the game to overtime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Montreal has not won in regulation in Nashville since March 10, 2003. … Mazanec has been pulled in two of his last three starts. … Weber is on a five-game point streak, with two goals and five assists in that span.
