Penguins 3, Bruins 2: Brandon Sutter scored to snap a tie with nine minutes remaining in the third period as host Pittsburgh salvaged a sliver of revenge after being unceremoniously swept by Boston in last season's Eastern Conference final.

Chris Kunitz netted a power-play goal and Jussi Jokinen provided much-needed insurance by scoring with 2:02 remaining in the third. Pascal Dupuis notched an assist after seamlessly pulling out a loose tooth on the bench in the second period and Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 21 shots for the Penguins, who have won the last seven regular-season meetings versus the Bruins.

Patrice Bergeron collected a goal and an assist and Jarome Iginla burned his former team by tallying off a faceoff with 1:43 left in the third. Tuukka Rask finished with 28 saves for the Bruins, who held Pittsburgh to just two goals in the conference final.

Defenseman Brooks Orpik's stretch pass was deftly redirected in the neutral zone by Dupuis, sending the puck to Sutter along the right-wing wall. Sutter breezed past Boston blue-liner Torey Krug and rifled a shot from the right circle that sailed over Rask's shoulder and into the top corner of the net to give Pittsburgh a 2-1 lead.

With Milan Lucic whistled for interference, Pittsburgh made Boston pay by opening the scoring on the game's first power play. Captain Sidney Crosby's shot from above the right circle deflected off the stick defenseman Kris Letang before hitting Kunitz, who skillfully backhanded the puck between both his own legs and the pads of Rask at 6:54 of the second period. Stationed low in the left faceoff circle, Bergeron answered early in the third after deflecting defenseman Dennis Seidenberg's point shot past Fleury.

GAME NOTEBOOK: After spurning Boston to sign with Pittsburgh at last season's trade deadline, Iginla opted to join the Bruins in July. The veteran joined Lucic (assist) by extending their respective point streaks to five games. ... The Penguins were 1-for-18 on the power play in their previous four contests prior to Kunitz's tally. ... Bruins C David Krejci, who scored four times during last season's conference final, had his seven-game point streak halted.
