Flames 4, Canucks 2: Captain Jarome Iginla scored with 7:24 remaining in the third period to snap a tie and lift host Calgary to its first win in three meetings with Northwest Division-rival Vancouver this season.

Mike Cammalleri scored twice and Lee Stempniak recorded a goal and an assist for the Flames, who have won three straight at home. Jiri Hudler, who notched three assists against Colorado on Thursday, added two more and Danny Taylor made 29 saves for his first career win in his second NHL start.

Jannik Hansen had a goal and an assist while Chris Higgins also scored for the Canucks, who lost for the third time in four games. Roberto Luongo stopped 21 shots in his first start since allowing eight goals in a loss to Detroit last Sunday.

Calgary overcame its early-season struggles against Vancouver after the Canucks took a bench minor penalty for abuse of officials midway through the third period. Iginla scored one second after the penalty expired to pass former Flames star Theo Fleury for 59th on the all-time scoring list with 1,089 points.

Hansen, who also had a goal and an assist on Saturday against Los Angeles, took a penalty for slashing Calgary’s Curtis Glencross with less than two minutes remaining in the game. This led to Cammalleri’s game-clinching empty-net goal.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Canucks LW Tom Sestito battled Flames RW Brian McGrattan in his second fight in as many games with Vancouver. McGrattan was assessed a 10-minute misconduct for saluting the crowd after the bout ended. … Hansen’s wife gave birth to twin boys early Sunday morning. Since the Canucks’ flight to Calgary on Saturday night was canceled due to a snowstorm, Hansen was able to attend the birth. … The Flames and Canucks will face each other two more times this season - April 6 at Vancouver and April 10 at Calgary.
